[PATCH v3 03/16] drm: Nuke mode->vrefresh
From: Ville Syrj?l? <ville.syrjala at linux.intel.com>
Get rid of mode->vrefresh and just calculate it on demand. Saves
a bit of space and avoids the cached value getting out of sync
with reality.
Mostly done with cocci, with the following manual fixups:
- Remove the now empty loop in drm_helper_probe_single_connector_modes()
- Fix __MODE() macro in ch7006_mode.c
- Fix DRM_MODE_ARG()

Nouveau doesn't detect DVI - Monitor
Hello,
I'm new here, and I hope I can get any help. At first I thought this is
a support mailing list, but it looks more like one for developers.
I'm using Nouveau in ubuntu bionic. My problem is, when I connect a
second Monitor to my Laptop on DVI-D connector, the monitor is not
detected, Nouveau reports it as "disconnected".
The Hardware works, because the BIOS uses the

Hi Ville.
Nice patch - and diffstat looks good:

There is an item in the Documentation/gpu/todo.rst that
describes this.
Could you drop this from todo.rst in this patch too.

[PATCH 5/6] drm: Delete "mandatory" stereographic modes
HDMI specification 1.4a, table 8-15 is very explicitly a "must
support at least one of" table, not a "must support all of" table.
It is not hard to find hardware that does not support some of the
so-called "mandatory" modes.
More seriously, this code generates invalid display modes for both
of the 3D-capable panels that I have (a 42-inch LG TV and a Sony

Driver Problem with 7150M
Hi,
I tried using the nouveau driver that comes latest with Fedora Rawhide
(xorg-x11-drv-nouveau-0.0.10-1.20080311git460cb26) on my HP Pavilion
dv2000 laptop with a GeForce 7150M (PCI 10de:0531) but couldn't even get
the server up. The server spit out the following log. Could someone tell
me how to get things working? Or even if I should file a bug?
Xorg.0.log:

[PATCH] drm/nouveau/dispnv04: fix a possible null pointer dereference
In nv17_tv_get_ld_modes(), the return value of drm_mode_duplicate()
is assigned to mode, which will lead to a NULL pointer dereference
on failure of drm_mode_duplicate(). Add a check to avoid npd.

Thanks for the help so far, I have already solved the main problem,
but sadly it seems I can't find out the last step. I hope you can help
me there...

although i have already done apt-get purge nvidia*

x windows dell inspiron 1200 setting for 1366x768
I am attempting to setup a dell inspirons 1200 laptop
media accelerator 900 from intel is the chipset so I am using the i810
driver.
In the default 1024x768 everything is fine.
I am trying to setup the external port not the LCD to be 1366x768.
I added a modeline to xorg.conf of:
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Monitor0"
VendorName "Monitor Vendor"
