Blank screen at startup (conflict with VESA VGA)
Hi all,
new to this list ;)
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T61. lspci|grep VGA says:

I have Slacware64-13.0 and Slackware64-current installed.
Nouveau is modularized in all my kernels for -current.

opus Digest, Vol 70, Issue 1
What is the possibility to use the Cortex-M4 DSP instructions to fully optimize the OPUS code? Could we use the ARM CMSIS DSP library for this optimization?
Thanks,
Heng

"Invalid offset returned by binary tree"
Hi,
I'm running 0.99.10 on OpenBSD 3.4/i386, with Squirrelmail as the only
client. I recently had dovecot fail with this in syslog:

by binary tree: 118

opus Digest, Vol 70, Issue 3
Hi All,
Cortex-M4 is a single issue CPU whereas A8 is dual issue so this is the main
reason you are seeing a slow-down, use of NEON I would say is secondary,
certainly for CELT. We (ESPICO) have done optimisation work on OPUS v1.1
and have ARM implementations about twice the speed of the 'off the shelf'
version. Please contact me directly if you want to discuss further.

[PATCH xf86-video-nouveau 00/17] autotools configuration cleanups
Series of cleanups to autotools build config files to utilize the available
xorg-server macros, defaults and more closely match other modern Xorg drivers.
Notable improvements:
- gitignore fully covers potential build artifacts
- Simplify logic given stated minimum required version of xorg-server 1.8
- Remove use of deprecated, outdated or no longer required macros
- Utilize xorg macros where

nouveau: [drm] failed to open device
Hi,
I'm trying to get the new nouveau kernel driver (2.6.33-rc8) to work
with X.Org 1.7.4 (Debian/unstable, all relevant packages updated). The
modules load just fine, and the kernel spits out the following upon
probe:

[PATCH] nv: improve KMS detection
1) DRICreatePCIBusID belongs to xserver dri module, so when it's
unavailable we can't format string for drmCheckModesettingSupported.
(This situation happened to me with KMS enabled and dri module moved
somewhere else by Gentoo's "eselect opengl set nvidia" switcher)
Open code DRICreatePCIBusID to drop dri dependency.
2) Once we dropped dependency on dri module

dovecot.conf authentication after Debian upgrade
Hello,
I'm new on this mailing list.
I run a Dovecot imaps server since several month on a Debian server.
I just upgrade a Debian server from Debian Sarge --> Etch
and I discover that a lot of parameters have changed (must be changed) in
the dovecot.conf.
I finally find an exemple an try to adapt it to our server.
We never defined special authentification or password scheme.

Opus performance on Cortex-M4
I'm considering implementing Opus as the codec for an embedded ARM-based
battery powered audio system. In the interest of battery life and board
footprint I'd like to specify the smallest CPU that can do the job.
In some quick testing on Cortex-A8 (a very different core, but at least
ISA compatible and hopefully fairly similar to M4 for things like cycle
counts and code size) I saw

how to uninstall wine
I need to remove wine completely on Red Hat Linux 7.1
I tried "make uninstall" but it doesn't work completely.. It only
uninstalls it partially. I didn't install it using rpm btw. So i can't
do something like rpm -e wine. There's also no "dkpg" whatever command!
Thanks.
Didier.
