Lost NV40 development work you may have
In a message to the Nouveau mailing list
(http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/nouveau/2009-January/002166.html),
you said that you cloned the git tree of Stephane Marchesin's NV40
LLVM work, at git://anongit.freedesktop.org/~marcheu/llvm
That code has since been lost due to an hard drive crash.
If you happened to still have that git tree on your hard drive, it
would be extremely appreciated

Dell Poweredge R300
Hi all,
Just found out that the Poweredge R300 cant even load the CentOS 5.2
64bit installer. Had to revert to Ubuntu. Seems its a driver problem.
Pity, but does this kind of case apply to many other servers?

Can't get Samba to work as a print/file server
Hi everyone,
I'm new at this, been through all of the troubleshooting guides without any
luck. So here I am.
smb.conf looks like this:

AIGLX + r300 + compiz?
So I've spent the last few days getting Xorg pulled from freedesktop git
and built. Everything seems to have worked, and I now have Xorg version
7.1.99.2 running, composite enabled, and AIGLX enabled. The Xorg log
file shows:
(WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x23
(WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x24
(WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x25

Status of s3tc patent in respect to open-source drivers and workarounds
Hi radeonhd, nouveau, mesa3d developers,
Firstly, thank you all very much for all the important work you do.
I've been working as a part-time developer on the "Spring RTS" project
(open-source game engine) which runs on linux (and other os). Some time
ago I tried the engine on the open-source ATI radeonhd driver, which I
understand to be partly based on mesa 3d, and all textures

ATI (rv350) + open-source driver + wine gaming issues
Hello everyone. I seem to have a bit of a problem running some 3D accelerated games under wine, while using the open-source ATI Radeon driver. My graphics card is Radeon 9700, and the open-source drivers overall work much better than the proprietary fglrx.
The fglrx driver allows me (in most cases) to run games like Temple of Elemental Evil (particularily) or Morrowind normally, but I can't

nv50 piglit change between 7.8 and master
7.8 branch (533b7663) : 209/246
master branch (c882c31) : 216/241
In short :
8 fail/warn -> pass
5 fail -> skip
1 pass -> fail
So the only regression is glean/clipFlat
Output:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Test clipping with flat shading (provoking vertex).
clipFlat: Failure for glBegin/End(GL_QUADS), glFrontFace(GL_CCW)

Rendering problems in GW
I'm trying to get Guild Wars working under Wine. I'm running on a Phenom 9950 with 4GB of RAM and a radeonHD 4850. I have wine 1.1.4 and catalyst 8.8 installed on Ubuntu Hardy (8.04).
When GW starts, it seems to render correctly, except that the blocks of graphics seem to be positioned in the wrong places, so that all the screen is jumbled up. When I take a screenshot, (through the gw

no display what can I try.
I have an odd issue.
I have one machine that does not display to the monitor when it goes
to a linux boot loader.
It has the issue with grub and pxelinux.
I see the bios but between bios and graphics driver I see a blank screen.
Any recommendations on how to fix it?
More to it. It is a newer nvidia card, That I need to drive a 4K
monitor at 60Hz . If I replace it with an old nvidia card I can

Initial Sequence Numbers (ISN) vulnerability
FYI
On the ISN vulnerability I found a really good article on Initial Sequence
Numbers (ISN) vulnerability and according to this article all Linux Kernels
after 1996 are not affected by this vulnerability.

I found another article that stated :
