[PATCH] drm/nouveau: Make use of TTM busy_placements.
Previously we were filling it the same as "placements", but in some cases there're valid alternatives that we were ignoring completely. Keeping a back-up memory type helps on several low-mem situations. [PATCH 04/10] drm/virtio: move virtio_gpu_object_{attach, detach} calls.
Drop the dummy ttm backend implementation, add a real one for TTM_PL_FLAG_TT objects. The bin/unbind callbacks will call virtio_gpu_object_{attach,detach}, to update the object state on the host side, instead of invoking those calls from the move_notify() callback. With that in place the move and move_notify callbacks are not needed any more, so drop them. Signed-off-by: Gerd Hoffmann

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: Evict buffers in VRAM before freeing sgdma
Currently, we take down the sgdma engine without evicting all buffers from VRAM. The TTM device release will try to evict anything in VRAM to GART memory, but this will fail since sgdma has already been taken down. This causes an infinite loop in kernel mode on module unload. It usually doesn't happen because there aren't any buffer on close. However, if the GPU is locked up, this

[PATCH 1/3] drm/qxl: allow both PRIV and VRAM placement for QXL_GEM_DOMAIN_SURFACE
qxl surfaces (used for framebuffers and gem objects) can live in both VRAM and PRIV ttm domains. Update placement setup to include both. Put PRIV first in the list so it is preferred, so VRAM will have more room for objects which must be allocated there. [PATCH] drm/nouveau: Add a MM for mappable VRAM that isn't usable as scanout.
Dynamically resizing the framebuffer on nv04 was like playing Russian roulette (and it often happened gratuitously) because it seems unable to scan out from buffers above 16MB. This patch splits the mappable VRAM into two chunks when that's the case, and makes the higher one to be used as well when applicable. Signed-off-by: Francisco Jerez <currojerez at riseup.net> ---

To guarantee coherency at all times mappings into userspace are done write combined, so userspace should avoid reading back from those resources. [PATCH v4 01/19] drm: Add |struct drm_gem_vram_object| and helpers
The type |struct drm_gem_vram_object| implements a GEM object for simple framebuffer devices with dedicated video memory. The BO is either located in VRAM or system memory. The implementation has been created from the respective code in ast, bochs and mgag200. These drivers copy their implementation from each other; except for the names of several data types. [PATCH v3 2/5] drm/virtio: use struct to pass params to virtio_gpu_object_create()
Create virtio_gpu_object_params, use that to pass object parameters to virtio_gpu_object_create. This is just the first step, followup patches will add more parameters to the struct. The plan is to use the struct for all object parameters. Drop unused "kernel" parameter for virtio_gpu_alloc_object(), it is unused and always false. Also drop "pinned" parameter. virtio-gpu
