XPS M1530 Draft to Complete?
Good morning all, I have been slowly tweaking the wiki document ref my XPS M1530 and think it's at a stage where I can remove the Draft status. However, before I do this I'd like opinions just in case I have missed something. Anyone care to add anything? On a seprate note I have been unable to get Bluetooth working under Linux so I will try and get more info as I can. At present I just

Trying to run (tweak) a few games on Wine
Hello, I'm a relatively new user to Linux, it's only been two weeks since I'm using it. I'm trying to run two games right now : Halo and Live for Speed. Here are the issues for each. Halo : Performance in Halo is excellent, it's actually better in Linux than it was in Windows XP. Frame rate is good, looks like solid 60 FPS all the time. The only problem is the mouse movement

Tableau Public vis software / Ubuntu
Hey all -- First post, so first off thanks for creating this wonderful software and helping out new users like me adapt to the wine-way :) Has anyone managed to get Windows/Mac only data analysis and vis suite Tableau Public (http://www.tableausoftware.com/public/download) running with any version Wine yet? It goes through the motions of installing, but then won't run. I'd welcome any

[PATCH ddx] Add support for VRAM-less devices to the ddx
With this patch the DDX almost works with GK20A, the missing piece is adding COHERENT mappings to the right places. ;-) If you specify NOUVEAU_BO_APER the kernel will truncate valid_domains to the domains specified at creation time. This means that as long as we only specify the correct domain in nouveau_allocate_surface the effect is still the same. Signed-off-by: Maarten Lankhorst <dev at

[PATCH] nvc0: Add and enable vblank support
Based on the original patch by Christoph Bumiller, but since it depends on kernel support patched I cannot push it yet. The changes are that I enable vblank by default, and offset takes OFFSET_HIGH/LOW instead of something relative to notifier_bo. [PATCH] nv10/exa: Spring-cleaning
* Kill the A8+A8 hack. Recent enough X servers (>=1.7) fall back to ARGB glyphs for drivers not supporting A8 render targets. * Kill all the global state. It doesn't matter a lot yet but it might if we get multicard working at some point. * Other random clean-ups with no functional changes. Some numbers from x11perf -aa10text -aa24text -comppixwin10 -comppixwin500: * Before, with A

[Patches][nouveau/ddx]: Improvements to bufferswap implementation and timestamping
Hi, here a set of patches against the nouveau-ddx. This is an extended and revised set, based on Francisco Jerez feedback from autumn last year. [1/9] Makes pageflipping work again on X-Server 1.12rc. It apparently stopped working somewhere around Xorg 1.11+. [2/9] Implements handling of pageflip completion events from the kernel. Francisco Jerez argument against including it was that the

[PATCH] Add Option "DRI3" to allow to disable DRI3 under EXA.
The DRI option with the intel ddx can be used to indicate the following - whether dri is disabled - the dri "version" - dri1, dri2, dri3 - the dri module name - doo_dri.so bar_dri.so I'm not sure how exactly it's supposed to work/works, and I believe most of that is due to legacy reasons. I'm just saying let's not do the whole thing - just the dri "version"

[PATCH 1/4] exa/nv10: use same clip settings as mesa driver
The higher 0x800 was getting overwritten by the 0x7ff anyways, so it wasn't doing any good. The mesa driver just uses 0x800 for the low portion and doesn't set the 8 bit in the higher portion, so do the same thing here.
