Detect IMAP server domain name in Dovecot IMAP proxy
I?m in the process of setting up a Dovecot IMAP proxy to handle a number of IMAP server domains. At the current time, I have my users divided into 70 different groups of users (call them G1 to G70). I want each group to configure their email client to access their mailboxes at a domain name based on the group they belong to (e.g., g1.example.com <http://g1.example.com/>, g2.example.com

Screen Flicker
I am new to wine and I am trying to play Jedi Knight 2 version 1.04. I have installed it fine, but when I try to play it, the screen is constantly flickering. This does not happen with some of my other games. I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope and the latest version of wine. Is there something I can do to diagnose or fix this problem? I'm using the default drivers. I have an HP

Error using the mi package
I'm trying to impute data using the mi package, but after running through almost the entire first round of imputations (which takes quite a while), it throws this error (I'll include the whole output prior to the error for context). Does anyone know what is causing it, or how I can fix it? More specifically, how can I tell what is throwing the error so I know what to fix? Is

Tools to take a kernel crash dump.
Hello Everyone, We have noticed that one of our servers xen Dom0 is restarting idiopathically. Atleast, we are not able to analyze the cause. I have checked the logs but couldn''t find anything relating to it. Are there any tools such as kdump (which doesn''t seem to work on xenified kernels) for catching the kernel crash snapshot. Failover testing problem and a heartbeat question
We have a setup with 15 hosts fibre attached via a switch to a common SAN. Each host has a single fibre port, the SAN has two controllers each with two ports. The SAN is exposing four OCFS2 v1.4.2 volumes. While performing a failover test, we observed 8 hosts fence and 2 reboot _without_ fencing. The OCFS2 FAQ recommends a default disk heartbeat of 31 - 61 loops for multipath io users. Our initial

"Hard" hangs on several Intel(-chipset) boards
Hey! I''m deploying a vanilla Xen 4.1.2 installation at a hosting provider, and I''m experiencing hard hangs (i.e., the system is unresponsive to keystrokes, network is off, I/O to disk is stopped) on several of their available server packages, all based on Intel i7 CPUs and related chipsets. The failure does not seem related to a specific Xen-version (I''ve

Netconsole capability in ramdisk
I'm supporting a number of consumer devices (e.g. small NAS devices) in Debian. They typically don't export the serial console and don't have any other output devices. We perform the installation via SSH on such devices and start SSH automatically when the system boots so people can login. This works pretty well but sometimes a device stops to boot for no good reason. This is

Very slow disk performance on CentOS 4.5
I recently moved my CentOS 4.5 disk from a Lenovo ThinkCentre M52 (3.2 GHz Pentium 4) to a Lenovo ThinkCentre M55 (3.4 GHz Core 2 Duo). I had to install the SMP kernel, but other than that everything just worked. I did have an issue with accidentally initializing my /boot partition, but that was my own fault. But the system was not feeling right. Some things just seemed to be slower,

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: POST the card before GPIO initialization
Otherwise my card (nv92) never resumes from suspend to ram, hanging on nv_mask in nv50_gpio_drive. Before rework, initialization was done only from POST, so this patch restores previous behaviour.
