[PATCH 0/2] Fix SMBios table regressions in HVM guests
The series "HVM firmware passthrough" series in Jan 2013 from Ross Philipson cause two regressions for HVM guests which sadly found their way into the Xen 4.3 release. The first regression causes an incorrect count of tables to be placed in the main header, and can be seen by running dmidecode in any applicable HVM domain. The second regression found its way into the public ABI, making

Syslinux using Asset Tag (from Dell or Compay) instead of MAC Adress
I am using PXELINUX to unattened install our machines with XP. It is a not very easy to handle with mac adresses because mac adresses can change when a motherboard is changed, but the asset tag from dell (or also from compaq) will be also updated when the motherboard is changed to the original value, so our unique key here is the asset tag. So my idea is to change the behaviour so that it will

Gathering information about RAM in sockets
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi list, I have an IBM xseries 345, running CentOS 5.3, hosting a few Xen domUs. However, I need more RAM -- but cannot remember if all (four) RAM sockets are populated (which would mean to buy higher capacity modules) or if there are two slots left to use. However, I'd like (and think that it's possible, but don't remember how) to

GUI suggestions for XCP (archipel?)
I''ve just installed XCP and am looking about for a good GUI to control it. I''m not a windows person at all so would prefer a non-windows solution (ESXi really bugs me in that regard) Web based would be great, then it wouldn''t matter what system controlled it. (I usually use a Mac but also run Linux desktops) Has archipel been tried? Opinions on ease of install/use?

IRIX cleanup.
Can I get someone from the IRIX group to apply this patch to the 3.0.2pX release and reconfigure/compile. I'm trying to clean out do_child() in perparation of a larger patch to that part of the code. Also if someone could give me the hint for the right compiler magic to wrap the code in instead of what I'm doing now. I'd be thankful. Thanks - Ben diff -urN

Expanding Facter's manufacturer.rb
I''ve just filed http://reductivelabs.com/trac/puppet/ticket/1182 with the aim of making it easier to add fact pickup from dmidecode in manufacturer.rb. As the ticket says, I think that the fact sections, keys and values shouldn''t be hardcoded in manufacturer.rb, but should be stored in a configuration file somewhere. This means that a given stable installation of Puppet can be

Irix joblimits failure (was: Re: New snapshot)
IRIX has a compatibility mechanism that lets you test for optional symbols (like jlimit_start) at run-time. I think these patches will let all all IRIX 6.5 systems build images that will test for job limit support dynamically: --- ./configure.ac Wed Feb 27 01:12:35 2002 +++ ../openssh-3.1p1/./configure.ac Thu Mar 7 15:50:21 2002 @@ -115,7 +115,7 @@ AC_DEFINE(WITH_IRIX_ARRAY)
