similar to: Custom SAMBA4/OpenChage ZEG applicance

Hi group I am currently running a mail server on ubuntu 11.04 with postfix 2.8.5, dovecot dovecot 2.0.13 and openldap 2.4.23. I have now read about sogo and I am thinking about installing it because of it's native outlook support capabilities. The ZEG appliance wouldn't be an option for me because I use a virtual server from a provider where I can't install my own vm or even an iso.

I have a "Samba | SOGo | OpenChange" server running in VMware. I get the following message when running 'apt-get upgrade' -- The following packages have been kept back: libldb-dev libldb1 libmapi0 libmapiproxy0 libmapistore0 libnss-winbind libpam-winbind libsmbclient libwbclient0 openchangeproxy openchangeserver python-ldb python-ocsmanager python-samba samba

I've used the Samba AD DC HOWTO <https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba_AD_DC_HOWTO> to install Samba 4 as an Active Directory/Domain Controller. I've successfully configured the domain/realm and DNS (as far as I can tell) and worked my way through Testing Your Samba Domain Controller <https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba_AD_DC_HOWTO#Testing_Your_Samba_Domain_Controller>

I strongly and completely disagree with statement that is "IMHO the need for openchange is disappearing. SOGo/Openchange is not willing i f it is not holding the fsmo roles. And by the way in an multiple DC replicating environment you can kill your domain on the fly even with a real "Exchange-Server" if you are not carefull enough.
