PDC: "The trust relationship ... failed" from the beginning
Hi, When I try a net logon from Windows 7 64-bit Business (don't have any other Windows machines), I get "The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed". The discussion I've found around the Web regarding this error message seems to be only in the context of the 30 day password expiry issue, where the solution is to simply rejoin the domain.

Windows 7 machine trust accounts expiring
I think I have narrowed this down even further. I have been working through getting rid of error messages in the logs, and I have updated Samba to 3.4.3. This might have fixed the issue, and I won't know for some time, but I can still see the following error appearing in the logs, which seems to line up with the core issue of machine trust accounts expiring.

Windows 7 64 bits with Samba PDC (trust relationship problem)
Hi I would like to know if anyone has success in making 64-bit Windows Seven work with a Samba PDC without any problems? I have a Samba 3.5.6 server running on Debian Lenny. Samba works properly and is using the LDAP backend, which is integrated with Kerberos, GSSAPI, etc... Abount Windows Seven... I changed the registry as recommended Samba wiki, applied the hotfix to not give the DNS error

Problem with Win 7 and Samba 3.3.10 PDC (Trust Relationship Between Workstation and Domain Failed)
Dear all, We are trying to install a new Samba server to replace the old one and support Windows 7 clients. But it doesn't work ! When we try to register a machine into th domain, it seems to be accepted by the client but we find these messages in samba logs : > rpc_server/srv_netlog_nt.c:_netr_ServerAuthenticate2(555) > _netr_ServerAuthenticate2: netlogon_creds_server_check

How do I set up trust relationships in SAMBA
Be nice -- I'm a SAMBA newbie, but at least I've got the O'Reilly book!! We want to use a SAMBA server to provide user accounts for a print charge-back system in our public student labs. Since this amounts to several thousand accounts which are already managed and current on our e-mail server, we don't want to try to replicate them and keep them synchronized on the NT PDC. For a

Upgrade from Vista to 7 + samba = error
Hello everyone, I'm using Ldap + Samba PDC 3.4.7 in a Debian Lenny machine (backported). I've been able add successfully 3 hosts with windows 7 on my domain. Now i upgraded a notebook from windows vista to windows 7. I could not log on the domain (the trust relationship was broken), So i tried to remove and re-add (after applying the registry patch file) the machine in the domain

Possible alternate solution to "Trust relationship between this workstation...."
All: On various occasions, some users have posted questions regarding the situation in which their Vista clients are unable to log on to their Samba PDC from their workstations, receiving the "The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain has failed" message. Ordinarily, the solution I have seen for this issue is to remove the machine from the domain and rejoin

SAMBA4 - Trusted relationship lost every Weeks
Hi All, Answering to myself, this problem still occurs again and again, every week as I mentioned before. Rejoining the domain each time for samba4 file server is the only workaround. What could be the origin of this kind of problem? Any answer would be helpfull Regards Le 17/07/2017 à 10:12, Julien TEHERY a écrit : > Hello, > > > We recently put in place a trust relationship

Machine account reject
Hi! I have samba 3.5.4 on an Ubuntu 8.04 running with windows 7 clients. (ldapsam as background tdb) I do have log entries of some machines in my samba log: /netlogon_creds_server_check failed. Rejecting auth request from client XXXXX machine account XXXXX$/ The user working on the machine does not seem affected in any way by that "problem" but It would be interesting how to solve

BDC Rejecting auth request from client + Windows 7
Just some background: In our environment, we are running both a PDC and BDC. The local network setup has static ips on a different subnet from dhcp ips, thus the PDC has a static ip and the BDC has a dynamic one so the Windows machines are able to see the domain without hardcoding in the ip of the PDC as a wins on each machine. This has worked fine for Windows XP. We are also using ldap as the

Trust relationship fails after classicupgrade
Hai Timo, To overcome the same problem, im doing the following. The old samba 3.4-3.6 based on ldap ( same here debian lenny/squeeze ), im keeping intact. The new samba 4 AD domain, has (policy based) drive mappings to the old domain. Im having 2 domains now, a bit more work, but zero down time. The new domain has a new domainname, new sid, all is new created, because i just dont want old
