Good things about CentOS 5; problem with flash in seamonkey
I'd like to point out that overall I am quite pleased with CentOS 5,
although I am having more fun with it than I did with 4.4 and I knew
less about CentOS then (duh).
Most things seem to work fine, including a relatively smooth
installation from the DVD image I downloaded, although the number of
screensavers I can see (and this could be related to the ATI/dual head
problem) is pathetically

CentOS 5 and seamonkey
Has anyone had any success in rebuilding seamonkey 2.0.4 for CentOS 5
(32-bit)? I'm currently running seamonkey-2.0-1 which I rebuilt last
November. Sadly, I have no idea where the SRPM originated.
I found seamonkey-2.0.4-1.fc12.src.rpm and
seamonkey-2.0.4-1.fc12.src.rpm, downloaded and got to 0th base:

Strange slowdown occasionally in CentOS 5.0
For some reason, parts of my system are now slowing down to an
agonizing crawl from time to time. At first it was my VMWare Server
1.04, which became such a pain that I rebooted. Then, it looked like
it was a network-induced thing because the prime culprit was
SeaMonkey, particularly with multiple tabs open. I did an ifdown and
ifup on my NIC and that seemed to help for a while. But then it

nspluginwrapper failure on x86_64 in 5.2
This was working in 5.1 - I am now getting errors when I try to run a
flash video in seamonkey under CetnOS 5.2. Here is the error:
For application/x-shockwave-flash found plugin /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so

Here is what I have installed:

pup problem
Hello!
On May 28, I had a problem with pup and seamonkey. I was doing an
update via pup and reading a page via seamonkey; seamonkey froze with a
plain brown screen. I waited awhile, and then did the
press-the-power-button-until-it-shuts-off. However, I don't know
whether it was seamonkey or pup that actually caused the freeze, but
apparently pup did not do its updating job correctly.

neighbor table overflow
I''ve got a linux router pushing 600-1000 pppoe connections through it.
I''m getting a screen error "Neighbor Table Overflow" after this box has
been up for between 1 week and 1 month. When this is happening, routing
slows to a crawl if at all. Then dies. I''ve added:
# Added to stop "neighbor table overflow" messages in the kernel

No sound from Adobe flash player 9.0.31 on CentOS 4.4 x86_64
I have the Adobe (Macromedia) flash player installed on my CentOS 4.4 x86_64
system, but when I try to play a flash movie in SeaMonkey (or Firefox -
doesn't matter) I get no sound. I'm using the nspluginwrapper 0.9.91.4 to
make it work at all, but there's no sound.
All my other sound devices/players work just fine, even my Windows guest on
VMWare Server.
Any ideas/suggestions?

Videos
I am trying to get my latest installation of Centos (4.4) to see videos
when I am in www.cnn.com.
I installed mplayer using yum and that went well. But I still get the
screen from microsoft saying I need to install their plugin..
What more can I do to get these videos to work when I use either mozilla
or konqueror..
Thanks..

Seamonkey (Mozilla) web browser for CentOS 5.4?
Does the Seamonkey (Mozilla) web browser exist for CentOS 5.4? It seems
to be missing from the standard repository.

Strange browser displays with 5.x on Dell GX-260
I had been running CentOS 4.x for quite some time with no problems.
Apparently I stubbed my toe when installing CentOS 5 final.
Symptoms: various web sites are not properly displayed in Firefox 3.0.1
(or predecessors). In particular, cnn.com and any calls to Google
display with a screen full of ascii characters rather than images. When
I look at "page info" within Firefox, it

Overhead Paging Systems...
Hey all,
I know you all saw the topic and let out a groan. However, I understand
how to get an overhead paging system to work with respect *, however I am
now looking for a small(?) paging amp, that I could hook 3 or 4 horns to.
I would like to just have the * extention be routed to a soundcard and out
an output, so I would like an amp that is voice signal activated.
Has anyone found anything

I want them to allow to access a few sites scuh as google.com,cnn.com,
bbc.com. I want to limit in that way.
I have wriiten below rules. But those users still can access all the sites.

Seamonkey
I saw the latest update announcements on the announce list, so I ran
"yum check-update" and did not see seamonkey in the list. Which I
guess makes sense, since it's a name change from mozilla. However,
devhelp is in the list, and "yum update devhelp" pulls in seamonkey as
a dependency.
This seems like a sort of backdoor way to get seamonkey onto the
system. Did these
