nspluginwrapper failure on x86_64 in 5.2
This was working in 5.1 - I am now getting errors when I try to run a flash video in seamonkey under CetnOS 5.2. Here is the error: For application/x-shockwave-flash found plugin /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so sh: /usr/lib/nspluginwrapper/i386/linux/npviewer: No such file or directory Here is what I have installed: $rpm -qa | grep -i nsplugin

flash player on seamonkey 1.0.9 x86_64 centos 4.5
I downoaded flash9 for linux. Installed it: ls /usr/lib64/mozilla-seamonkey-1.0.9/plugins/ flashplayer.xpt libflashplayer.so libnullplugin.so However seamonkey is not doing flash yet. Does it not work in 64 bit? Did I miss something? Anyone else have flash going on amd64? I thought you put the files in the above directory and restart. Didn't work for me. Jerry

gecko-libs dependency resurfaces
In doing an update of centos 5.2 this morning, I observed that the old gecko-libs dependency issue caused yum update to fail because it was required by nspluginwrapper (x64_86), devhelp, yelm and firefox. Also, a firefox (x64_86) showed the red hat splash screen rather than centos. Manual installation of affected rpms using --nodeps (I don't advise this) did not apear to impair the

nspluginwrapper
As the subject of nspluginwrapper came up recently, it might be worth mentioning that it's not properly documented. The README seems to be the official nspluginwrapper README, which, oddly enough, states that it's used with the command nspluginwrapper However, RedHat based systems seem to all use mozilla-config-plugin. (I'm not sure about other distributions--FreeBSD uses the more

Missing NSPluginWrapper.in ReleaseNotes for 5.2
Hello, I just searched the wiki for info about NSPluginWrapper. It's a plugin for Firefox which creates a kind of bridge between i386-plugins and a x86_64 browser. That aside... Well, looking for the string "NSPluginWrapper" and doing a text-search, the only hit is the Japanese version of the Release Notes!? I don't understand any of the text, but I interpret that the

Difficulties with Seamonkey plugins on 5.2
Has anyone else noticed this? I've been running a self-built, working 64-bit version of Seamonkey's 2.01a pre-release (alpha) version for the last six or seven months (because the "contributed" unofficial 64-bit build didn't work right and the official 32-bit release crashed all the time), and it's been working relatively well until recently, particularly in the area of

nspluginwrapper included in CentOS 5.2 fails completely
I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. I run CentOS 5.2 x86_64 on my workstation at home. Since 5.2 came out with nepluginwrapper bundled into it, none of my plugins work. I thought it was just a problem with the flash plugin, but neither the mplayerplug-in plugins nor the adobe acrobat reader plugin work, either. I have this problem both with the Seamonkey contributed 64-bit build

64 bit
Hello, Presently I am considering using CentOS as my base OS. I am wondering about a few things though. I like KVirc as my irc program. I have had issue with compiling it in 64bit mode under Fedora 3 and was todl it was because Fedora installs both 32 and 64 bit libs and the compiler didn't understnad which to use. Will this be an issue with CentOS 4 also? If I install the 64 bit

Flashplayer-plugin
I know that flashplayer-plugin is not packaged or distributed by CentOS but there's a RedHat "Critical" advisory at https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2005-835.html that I don't believe has been mentioned here. There is no CentOS rpm that I can find but the binary of version 7.0.61 is available from

Good things about CentOS 5; problem with flash in seamonkey
I'd like to point out that overall I am quite pleased with CentOS 5, although I am having more fun with it than I did with 4.4 and I knew less about CentOS then (duh). Most things seem to work fine, including a relatively smooth installation from the DVD image I downloaded, although the number of screensavers I can see (and this could be related to the ATI/dual head problem) is pathetically

Flash player beta
Has anyone tried the new flash player beta for Linux? http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer.html I can't get it to work on CentOS 6.8, ff 45.3.0-1, all x86_64. ff's pluginreg.dat shows the plugin is [INVALID], which is often a sign of bitness-mismatch, but that's not the case here. $ tail -n 3 pluginreg.dat [INVALID] /usr/lib64/flash-plugin/libflashplayer.so:$ 1474541270000:$

using flash to connect to ICECAST 2.3.2
Starting on friday I download icecast 2.3.2 and compiled it on SLES10. Very soon I was able to use ices to stream an mp3 file to a mp3 (phonostart, foobar) client via Icecast. But my flashplayer, which was able to get streams from icacast1, was not able to full fill his job. I did reseaches on the net, hour for hour, found a lot of stuff. Also some changings in format_mp3.c. But with no success.

No sound from Adobe flash player 9.0.31 on CentOS 4.4 x86_64
I have the Adobe (Macromedia) flash player installed on my CentOS 4.4 x86_64 system, but when I try to play a flash movie in SeaMonkey (or Firefox - doesn't matter) I get no sound. I'm using the nspluginwrapper 0.9.91.4 to make it work at all, but there's no sound. All my other sound devices/players work just fine, even my Windows guest on VMWare Server. Any ideas/suggestions? Yes,
