rsync 3.0.4 ACL corruption
Hi,
I use rsync 3.0.4 on two opensuse 11 machines.
Every night, a big tree of machine A is synced to machine B.
These machines are samba PDC and BDC, users and groups are ldap-based,
and ACLs are heavily used. There are about 2.8 million files and dirs,
2.2 terabytes of data, and a complete ACL list produced with getfacl has
some 600 megabytes.
I've just noticed that ACLs get partially

Non-clean Rsync 3.0.3 exit on OSX
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
I've compiled rsync 3.0.3 on OSX 10.4 PPC via the plain jane
./configure; make method (no patches). The resulting binary has then
been moved to /usr/local/bin/rsync3 and copied to a OSX 10.5.4 Intel
client machine as rsync3.
I then run the following command:
rsync3 -vvv -e ssh -avAX --progress --delete

change_sacl_perms() and ACLs from Solaris to 2.6 Linux
I've found an error: ACLs are not properly preserved when a file is moved
from Solaris to a 2.6 Linux (I'm testing using CentOS 4 update 3 plus
updates). This is using 2.6.8 built with the acl patch on both platforms.
The file on the source Solaris machine:
[truffle:/opt]# getfacl /xxx/x
# file: /xxx/x
# owner: root
# group: other
user::rw-
user:httpd:r-x #effective:r--

make errors, rsync 2.6.9 with acls patch
Hi. I'm attempting to compile rsync 2.6.9 with both the acls & xattr
patches on an MacBook pro (ie: Intel processor), with the latest
Apple Developer Tools. While this is OS X client, I've enabled acls
via "sudo /usr/bin/fsaclctl -p / -e" and rebooted, prior to
attempting to compile rsync. Is there something else inherent in OS X
Server perhaps, that I'm still
