New winetricks 20110628: 18 new verbs (adobe_diged, audible, irfanview, winamp, bioshock2, lego_potc_demo, nfsworld, d3dx9_43, glidewrapper, grabfullscreen, ...)
Another two months, another winetricks release. (So much for release early, release often :-) Highlights: - fixes a bunch of verbs whose download URLs had changed, especially vcrun2005 and vcrun2008. - fixes the annoying "unexpanded variable" error which happened when running old wine with a new wineprefix. - brings back gog support (though without automated download for now; any

the %ProgramFiles% variable
Hello, I want to use the %ProgramFiles% variable in a Sys.setenv (R 2.7.2, Windows) but it always seems to get handled literally. For instance, in cmd.exe I get what I want C:\Documents and Settings\user>echo %ProgramFiles% C:\Program Files but in R > system("echo %ProgramFiles%") %ProgramFiles% nope. Is there a way to use %ProgramFIles% or get the corresponding

Total response file count limited to 21
Hi, I recently hit this on a project using a build system that relies heavily on nested response files. We found we could only have 21 response files total before getting errors related to the unexpanded response files. I tracked it down to this code in llvm/lib/Support/CommandLine.cpp // If we have too many response files, leave some unexpanded. This avoids // crashing on

ETerm32 Terminal Emulator
I installed Wine from Synaptic and then installed a Windows terminal emulator program called ETerm32. As I understand, mainly, it provides the keyboard translations for a VT320 terminal so I can connect and function on a VMS-based server/application. Running ETerm32 under Wine, I can connect to the server which displays a Username prompt. After typing the user name and hitting <ENTER>,

Total response file count limited to 21
Actually, sorry, my fix was for the case where you had other arguments beginning with @ that weren't response files, whereas yours has actual response files, so my patch won't help there. CCing Reid and Hans, who did a bunch of the implementation in this area. From: llvm-dev <llvm-dev-bounces at lists.llvm.org> on behalf of Shoaib Meenai via llvm-dev <llvm-dev at

include directive doesn''t expand parameters?
Hello all, I tried to include a file from within the accounting config-file. The filename was specified using a parameter in params as: ACCFILE=/var/lib/shorewall/accounting.generated and then included in accounting as: INCLUDE $ACCFILE However when (re)starting shorewall, it gave some error about being unable to find ''/etc/shorewall/$ACCFILE'' (with the $ACCFILE parameter

[LLVMdev] Efficient Pattern matching in Instruction Combine
Hi Duncan, David, Sean. Thanks for your reply. > It'd be interesting if you could find a design that also treated these > the same: > > (B ^ A) | ((A ^ B) ^ C) -> (A ^ B) | C > (B ^ A) | ((B ^ C) ^ A) -> (A ^ B) | C > (B ^ A) | ((C ^ A) ^ B) -> (A ^ B) | C > > I.e., `^` is also associative. Agree with Duncan on including associative operation too.

Sweave question: prevent expansion of unevaluated reused code chunk
Hi, Consider the following (much simplified) Sweave example: -------------- First, we set the value of $x$: <<chunk1,eval=FALSE>>= x <- 1 @ Then we set the value of $y$: <<chunk2,eval=FALSE>>= y <- 2 @ Thus, the overall algorithm has this structure: <<combined,eval=FALSE>>= <<chunk1>> <<chunk2>> @
