dovecot-lmtp does not work
Dear Community, I've got a weird problem regarding lmtp setup with dovecot 2.0.19 on ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS. My reference of the configuration is at https://library.linode.com/email/postfix/postfix2.9.6-dovecot2.0.19-mysql , and my configuration is identical to it with the exception of opening the 110 pop3 port, and enabling plain text auth. Everything from imap, smtp, pop3 (including auth) works

How to turn off "plus" delivery
I use a lot of plus-style addresses (me+stuff at example.com), except I use underscore as the separator rather than plus (me_stuff at example.com). My mail logs are full of messages where dovecot looks for a mailbox named "stuff", fails, then delivers to my inbox. Is there a way to turn that off so that dovecot automatically delivers to my inbox? Thanks! Here are the details: >

dovecot-postfix stack imap_client_workarounds
To use dovecot-postfix stack with thunderbird, do I put the configuration into /usr/share/dovecot/protocols.d/impad.protocol? That would seem to be how the stack is configured. "Thunderbird To use with Thunderbird, edit the file /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf: protocol imap { ... login_greeting_capability = yes imap_client_workarounds = tb-extra-mailbox-sep }"

Postfix delivers mails to maildir and not to dovecot LDA for a virtual user
Hi I have been able to setup postfix and dovecot using postgres as the backend store with virtual user maps on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Server. I have been following instructions from here: http://wiki2.dovecot.org/HowTo/DovecotPostgresql I haven't setup postfix to use saslauthd and PAM, instead I am using dovecot for SASL authentication. Rest of the table structures and query files are the same as

Oh wait, you crossposted to the postfix list. Please keep the discussion there going, you have a postfix issue, not a dovecot one ;) Tom On 02-03-17 09:40, Tom Hendrikx wrote: > Hi, > > Typically, postfix should resolve the aliases into user accounts that > dovecot knows before you even start delivering to dovecot. New log entries with 2.0.19?
I just upgraded my Ubuntu server from 11.10 to 12.04.1 and that upgraded Dovecot to 2.0.19. For some reason I'm getting a lot more (5 times) disconnect in IDLE and inactivity time outs. I'm using only IMAP with two users. Both users access the server from multiple devices, phone, tablet and desktop computer. I had previously set the max_userip_connections to 20 and rarely got the

A bug-report too difficult to make
Hi all, I just found out that there is an extern "C" missing on the LLVMInitializeInstCombine function definition somewhere around this line: https://github.com/llvm-mirror/llvm/blob/master/lib/Transforms/InstCombine/I nstructionCombining.cpp#L3365 As a result the function name gets mangled in the .lib file and is not accessible from LLVM C API. cheers, </wqw>
