centos 5.2 / sun java ?
Starting with rhel 5.2, Redhat provides sun java in the Supplementary channel.
Are there any plans to release sun-java in the centos extra or plus repo ?
Would be nice to keep sun java up to date using yum.
Thnx,
Stephan

I had test the command virsh blockcommit, but it failed, with the libvirt version 1.1.0, and qemu version 1.6.0.
Is this feature being developing? Thanks

expire plugin + --exec-mail in 1.2.6 version
Hello list,
After upgrade to dovecot version 1.2.6 I have noticed some quota malfunctions(users become often overquota). Looking at logs closely I have found that quota value resets to general dovecot-config(
quota = maildir:Mailbox quota
quota_rule = *:storage=500M
quota_rule2 = Trash:storage=10%%
), after dovecot --exec-mail ext /usr/libexec/dovecot/expire-tool.sh command. The problem that

Dovecot SLOW in imaptest without any apparent reason
Hello,
I'm migrating a mail server from a centos 5 cluster architecture to a
centos 6 cluster architecture. The new cluster involves faster machines
then the old cluster, and a virtual machine.
I use dovecot-2.0.9-5.el6.x86_64, while the old cluster uses
dovecot-2.0.1-1_118.el5.
Tha mail server uses mysql for the users database, and a local ldap for
authentication.
The storage is also much

qeum on centos 8 with nvme disk
Hi All - I use qemu on my centOS 7.7 box that has software raid of 2- SSD
disks.
I installed an nVME drive in the computer also. I tried to insall CentOS8

(the physical /dev/nvme0n1 with the -hda /dev/nvme0n1 as the disk.
The process started installing but is really "slow" - I was expecting with
the nvme device it would be much quicker.
Is there something I am missing how to

CentOS6.2: installation at specific kernel level
Hi, all
I have a number of machines that are out of sync with one another by
virtue of having done a yum update after a base 6.2 install at different
times (all were previous CentOS 5.3) Consequently, systems are a mix of
2.6.32-220.7.1, 2.6.32-220.13.1 or 2.6.32-220.17.1.
So 2 questions:
- Is it possible to perform a yum update (or another other kind of
update), specifying installation

I am not able to find any solution to this. ???

Slow performance - 4 hosts, 10 gigabit ethernet, Gluster 3.2.3
Hi everyone,
I am seeing slower-than-expected performance in Gluster 3.2.3 between 4
hosts with 10 gigabit eth between them all. Each host has 4x 300GB SAS 15K
drives in RAID10, 6-core Xeon E5645 @ 2.40GHz and 24GB RAM running Ubuntu
10.04 64-bit (I have also tested with Scientific Linux 6.1 and Debian
Squeeze - same results on those as well). All of the hosts mount the volume

samba problem with kernel 2.6.32-279.*
Hello,
We use Norton Ghost, running in a PXE booted DOS, to
handle Windows XP images.
The images are stored on a samba share on our CentOS 6
server.
This has worked without any problems for years.
After kernel 2.6.32-279* it has stopped working.
The symptom is that if I boot in DOS, and do:
net use x: \\myserver\ghostimages
dir x:
I get an infinite loop where the first file name is
