R 2.11.1 in Fedora Updates Testing
R 2.11.1 is built now for Fedora and EPEL. It is in "updates-testing" (or it will be within the next 24 hours). It will likely be the last R update for Fedora 11. In accordance with the new policies on Fedora Updates, these new packages will not be pushed as official updates until they either receive positive testing from users, or sit in updates-testing for two weeks. BOINC
Hi list, I've installed boinc-client and boinc-manager from epel. After starting boinc-client with systemctl when I try to connect from boincmgr I get "Unable to connect to boinc client". I've added to unit file --allow_remote_gui_rpc and on netstat I get: tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:31416 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 4762/boinc_client On this machine there aren't

CentOS9 Stream - boinc client??
I have been running boinc client on CentOS7 hosts for some years. C7 is getting close to end of life. Time to upgrade to C9 ... But I cannot find a package for the boinc client. "dnf search boinc" returns nothing. I have enabled both EPEL and RPMFusion repositories. Is there a boinc client package for CentOS9 Stream? -- =============== Bill Gee

Orphaning rubygem-mongrel and related packages
I haven't used Mongrel for any of my projects in some time now, so I'm no longer an active user and have been unable to find the time to keep up with them. I'm orphaning the following packages, so they're up for grabs for anyone actually using them: rubygem-mongrel rubygem-gem_plugin rubygem-fastthread Looks like the following packages rely on mongrel:

Hot-add interface crashes libvirt
Hi Everyone, After upgrading FC12 and now FC13 whenever I try to attach a network device using attach-device it promptly crashes libvirtd. Is there an option that changed in the network interface xml spec I missed? I really need this feature or at least the ability to connect and disconnect interfaces if that's possible? I've tried defining my network card in several ways: First

SETI@Home
This is a lil bit off topic, but I thought I would bring it up, since we have users that are trying to run windows BOINC under wine. The wine project has a SETI@Home team (has had for some time), so if you run the windows or linux BOINC/SETI@Home client, you can join our team and apply your credits towards the project's total. Just go to

screensavers in general
Hi, I tried some windows screensavers with Wine. Most screensavers start with the configuration screen without a possibility to start the main screensaver part. It's the same thing when I rename a screensaver file from 'somewhat.scr' to 'somewhat.exe' and try to run it with a doubleclick on my Windows 2000 PC. (*.scr: the screensaver starts, *.exe: the configuration screen
