DirecTV2PC gives errors on install & attempt to open
Hey everyone - I'm a total newb to wine. I'm sorry for this. Hopefully someone can help me out. I'm trying to run DirecTV2PC on my mac. It's a program that lets you watch your satellite TV through your computer. It won't work via parallels because of the way parallels handles the "virtual graphic card." Apparently it can be done via bootcamp, but I don't want

Re: Program No Longer Can Save
Did you ever get this working? I'm using crossover games 10.3 and trying to get it work also. I immediately run into problems opening any file due to comdlg32 problem, I tried a comdlg32 from my xp install, but that didn't work either. Really want to get this working on my mac somehow.

Re: Memory Problems when trying to open .exe
Hello, was that bug ever filed? If it was, how can I find it? If not, I want to file it myself. I've been using Microsoft Publisher 2000 in Windows, I'm setting up Ubuntu Linux Lucid Lynx, and I'm getting the same message and behavior in Linux that the newbie got in Mac OS.

cant get wine to install
i couldnt figue out how to get wine to install normally after download, so i had to download the source and do it that way. I followed the directions in the read me that came with it, but all I can ever get to is the "make" direction. After it's done with that, it says to do "wine install" in the read me. When I type that in and try it, it says it is an invalid operation.

First real installation attempt- Warcraft III
I have ubuntu and have no idea what I'm doing. I just got Wine today and apart from doing what the website told me to do about Debian-based ATI readers or something in the Software Sources application, I just installed Wine from the software center. Warcraft III is the only windows application i have on a CD that i can find, so I used that to test it. I installed it successfully and it

Installation service Error
I know this isn't exactly a fun thing for you guys to do, but I cannot find a similar topic anywhere. Whenever I run a .exe based installer, I receive and error saying that the Windows Installation Service could not be accessed. This has been happening ever since I attempted to install Windows Installer 3.1. This error persists after a sudo apt-get remove wine* --purge command. I'm

Well, for a start, if you do that then the dhcp server that is running on virbr0 will be exposed to the physical network and begin answering DHCP requests from devices out in the real world. And then you

IrfanView - got installer working, but program won't run
Hi guys! I am new to Wine, and one of my all-time favourite porgrams ever, IrfanView, is the first one I'm trying to run with this emulator. I got past the installation, which needed MFC42.dll, by installing vcrun6 (MS Visual C++ 6 sp4 libraries: mfc42, msvcp60, msvcrt) using WineTricks. Now IrfanView itself still won't run. I re-installed my system after screwing it up last week, before

libxl: spawning qemu while files are open
I ran into an issue when attempting to resume an HVM guest using the libxl_domain_create_restore call. We are using this in the libxl-version of xenopsd, XenServer''s domain manager. The VM''s suspend image is stored on a disk that is mounted in dom0 for the duration of the restore operation, and unmounted afterwards. Xenopsd opens the suspend-image file, and hands the file

Rhapsody errors out on cookies?
I just tried to install the latest version of Rhapsody. Everything is fine until I try to log in. Then it gives me an error that cookies are disabled and asks to enable them. It fails this ad infinitum. Is there anything I can check?
