/dev/tty only on a new container
Hi folks :), I migrated the host from the Debian Squeeze to Ubuntu 12.10. Old containers work but I can't use the ssh command, /dev/tty is missing. On a new container, /dev/tty is here. The libvirt configuration is the same. Any ideas? Thanks. -- Sebastien Douche <sdouche at gmail.com> Twitter: @sdouche / G+: +sdouche

The LXC container propagate the ro remount to the host mount point
Hi, every so often (cannot determine when it occurs at this time), the VM remount in read only the host partition (/srv here). Is it a bug? A misconfiguration? Hi! I'm trying to convert some Xen guests running Centos 5.8 to KVM on Centos 6.3. hardware error 0x80000021 on Ubuntu 12.10, need advice
Hi, On a DELL r610 (Intel Xeon L5520) and a Windows guest I have an hardware error. The bug is well known[1][2] and seems fixed with the package 3.5.0-16-generic. But I use 3.5.0-30-generic. Do I need to upgrade to 13.10? Or just the kernel ? Or modify the options of the kvm module? Thanks. [1] https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=854983 [2]

febootstrap: no ext2 root device found
Hello- I've recently upgraded from OEL 6.4 to OEL 6.8. Infiniband Hardware installed on the server prevents me from upgrading the OS version any higher. Kernel Version: Oracle Linux Server Red Hat Compatible Kernel (2.6.32-642.el6.x86_64) Since the upgrade, there have been problems with libguestfs-tools hanging, then timing out. I'd like to use the newest version of

Notes on libguestfs with Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise)
Ubuntu are now supplying a libguestfs package (or to be more accurate, they are just copying the Debian package) but it doesn't work out of the box. There is a bug in apt which we worked around in febootstrap 3.14, but the supplied version of febootstap is only 3.12. Hence you will get errors like this during installation: febootstrap: aptitude: error: no file was downloaded corresponding

[PATCH] Change to using ext2-based, cached supermin appliance.
This patch changes libguestfs to use the ext2-based appliance, cached if possible. I've tested this with the alpha version of febootstrap from here: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=191338 and it at least passes the tests. There are some hacky bits right now: (1) We add the root -drive option last on the command line, then (in the initrd) reverse-search through the

Re: supermin-helper: ext2: parent directory not found: /mnt/bigdata/var: File not found by ext2_lookup
Is this on Ubuntu? You probably need to add this patch: https://github.com/libguestfs/libguestfs/commit/ec6f9ee542e0e9ad0109a7522e83ea07b2f8a002 Rich. Hi, Yes it is. I'm trying to find where to put this, but I'm unable to find it. Do I have to compile it?
