/dev/tty only on a new container
Hi folks :),
I migrated the host from the Debian Squeeze to Ubuntu 12.10. Old
containers work but I can't use the ssh command, /dev/tty is missing.
On a new container, /dev/tty is here. The libvirt configuration is the
same.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

"ext2: parent directory not found" with Ubuntu 12.04
Hi all,
On the most libguestfs commands (guestfish, virt-*), I have always the
same message:
"febootstrap-supermin-helper: ext2: parent directory not found: /lib:
File not found by ext2_lookup"
I'm aware of a similar bug with the old package [1]:
"Note on febootstrap (may not be directly related to this bug):
You need 3.14 to work around that. I would recommend using at least

The LXC container propagate the ro remount to the host mount point
Hi,
every so often (cannot determine when it occurs at this time), the VM
remount in read only the host partition (/srv here). Is it a bug? A
misconfiguration?
My config:
<filesystem type='mount' accessmode='passthrough'>
<source dir='/srv/lxc/lib/vprobe10/rootfs'/>
<target dir='/'/>
</filesystem>

hardware error 0x80000021 on Ubuntu 12.10, need advice
Hi,
On a DELL r610 (Intel Xeon L5520) and a Windows guest I have an
hardware error. The bug is well known[1][2] and seems fixed with the
package 3.5.0-16-generic. But I use 3.5.0-30-generic. Do I need to
upgrade to 13.10? Or just the kernel ? Or modify the options of the
kvm module?
Thanks.

I have been struggling with LXC libvirt driver. I created LXC container fs

Hi,
This is my setting:
I have a Logical Volume /dev/VG/suse with Suse installed. I have added
it to the grub and I can boot it and works perfectly fine.
Now I am running /dev/VG/root which is running Xen0. I have created a
Xen config file to boot a VM with disk: /dev/VG/suse. In other words I
want to boot
/dev/VG/suse as a virtual machine.
Below is what I am getting at boot time :

LXC with RHEL 6.1
I'm trying to start a RHEL 6.1 container on an RHEL 6.1 host through libvirt 0.9.3. I've removed most of the startup services from the guest container, except the network and sshd. I can get the system to boot to a login prompt and can access the console through virsh; however, as soon as I authenticate, I get the following error message:

Unable to xm console in a running domU
Hi list,
I am running a virtualized server. Dom0 uses Xen 3.2.1 with Debian
Etch and a custom kernel 2.6.21 created by my webhosting company.
I install my domU using debootstrap for a Debian Etch with
2.6.18-6-xen-amd64 kernel. Everything works well except the fact that
once the VM is started I cannot "xm console" into it. It only works
while it is booting and while it is shutting
