Upload / migrate old mails: iPhone shows oldest mails first
hi, I've got a very strange behavior: I uploaded old mails from a local folder (thunderbird / osx) to my Dovecot (Debian Squeeze) and now, the iphone (ios6) show the oldest mails first. The only thing I can imagine is, that Dovecot got from Thunderbird the newest mails first and last the old mails, so that in the last mdbox are the old one. So, if it is correct, how can I fix it? cu denny

Removing old kernels
I have the following kernels on my /boot: 2.6.18-128.1.6 2.6.18-92.1.18 2.6.18-92.1.22 I'm low on /boot space and need to remove the oldest version. It appears that I cannot use yum to remove since all of the versions are the same (only the release is different). I believe that I can use rpm to remove the old version, but I also need to remove them from the grub.conf. Any other

Denial of Service attacks against Dovecot v1.1+
There's an upper limit to how many IMAP/POP3 connections can exist that haven't logged in (and separate limits for post-login). Normally when this limit is reached, the oldest connection gets disconnected. There is of course some potential to try to DoS Dovecot by doing a lot of IMAP/POP3 connections, but because the oldest connection always gets destroyed this requires quite a lot of

integration of old mails into new dovecot Maildir
I just installed dovecot 2.2.9 on to a new server and want to transfer all the old mails into the email accounts I imported from the previous server into MySQL database. I am not able to view the subfolders and or old mails that I copied into their respective maildir folders. I was very much appreciate if anyone could let me know how to import old mails into the new server. All I see, is the new

df & du - that old chestnut
Afternoon, We have an ocfs2 release 1.4 filesystem shared between two nodes (RHEL5). The filesystem in question is used exclusively for Oracle RMAN backups. A df -h shows the following: [root at imsthdb07 ~]# df -h /data/orabackup Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/mapper/eva_mpio_myserver07_08_oracle_bkup0 250G

How do I remove a kernel
I have 4 kernels in /boot, leaving on 20MB which is not enough for the next one. I had installonly_limit= set at 5, as there were some kernel problems.? After I got the error that there was not enough room for another kernel, I set installonly_limit= to 3 and did the update with --exclude=kernel* That worked to update everything else, but not remove the oldest kernel. How can I remove the

vfs_shadow_copy2: unmount snapshot while user is restoring from it
Hi Jeremy, The use case is that we want to automatically rotate the snapshots. For example, we want to keep 24 hourly snapshots, and every hour we create a new snapshot and unmount the oldest one. But since customers can be restoring from the oldest snapshot right now, it is not deterministic when we will be able to unmount the oldest snapshot. So at that moment we want all active restore

VOICEMAIL OPTIONS help needed
Hi everyone, We have a particular user on our Asterisk 1.4.x system who always listens to his voicemail messages via email. - Is there some way to send the voicemail ONLY to email and not retain them on the phone? - Alternatively, can the voicemail system only keep, say, just the last 10 messages (as backup in case of email delivery failure or a message getting deleted in email accidentally

Bad creation timestamp of migrated mails (maildir format)?
Hello everybody, ive just switched to dovecot imap because dbmail i used before is not developed any further and sql storage is difficult to backup. Ive done that, by setting up dovecot with maildir format and copy mails from old dbmail to new dovecot imap server with my mail client (thunderbird). Unfortunately migrating to dovecot brought me some problems with my Android K9 Mail client: Sync

tail and head drop qdiscs
I think that there are no qdiscs that permit to drop the oldest frame of a queue when this queue is full, but I would like to be wrong: bfifo drops arriving frames when the max queue length is reached. red also drops arriving frames in a more elaborate fashion, with a drop probability that increases above a limit and becomes a drop certitude when the max queue length is reached. sfq drops

Jitter Buffer issues
I am trying to using Speex for some Wireless voice transfers. I am using the 8K narrow band but am feeding it 11025 sample rate. Each Speex frame is about 14.5ms instead of 20ms. In order to minimize WiFi packet traffic I am sending 7 Speex frames at a time for a packet rate of about 10 per second so each WiFi packet has about 101ms of voice data. I have three modes 1. Simplex - voice messaging
