On RHEL 6.2 + dovecot 2.1.5 with the stats and fts (squat) plugins enabled and each user having their own uid on the system I get the following error in the logs when the indexer-worker process indexes some messages:

doveadm "-S <socket_path>" option enabled in 2.0.8?
I apologize if this is a stupid question but I just compiled 2.0.8 and am trying to use doveadm to get the quota for a user using the -S <socket_path> option because I have different options for the various local IPs that dovecot listens on.
For example, my default quota is filesystem (NFS rquota) and I can get that by doing:
doveadm quota get -u warden
which tells me:

redirect actions exceeds policy limit
Hello, We have a vacation/mail forwarder plugin in squirrel mail that allows customers to forward email. It has come to my attention that there is a limit (appears to be 5) on the number of addresses that can be specified. I'm now trying to track down where this policy limit is set.
This is the error we see in the customers .dovecot.sieve.log file:

Users can't use Dovecot IMAP
Every time a user logs into Dovcot's IMAP service PAM closes the session immediately after it opens. I would like a user to have a session open long enough to read some emails.

Dovecot 0.99.11 config
I am at wits end...So far it seems dovecot is light years ahead of UW-IMAP. Glad to have UW-IMAP behind me...well almost.
My setup = Sendmail 8.13.4 with Procmail delivery to /var/spool/mail/<userfile>
openssl 0.9.8
dovecot 0.99.11
I want to continue to use the standard mbox with all the user's mail stored in /var/spool/mail/<userfile>.

Sharing user folders doesn't work when users have periods in names.
I am using period as an IMAP separator with Maildir directories and I
cannot share folders where the user has a period in their name.
Suppose I log in as 'some.user' and do:
SETACL INBOX mailtest at example.co.uk +lrwstipekxacd
/var/mail/virtual/users/some.user/Maildir/dovecot-acl is created, with
appropriate contents and shared-mailboxes.db gains an entry for

Investigating suspected cache corruption
Hi David and all,
I?ve read the mail you posted in the Dovecot list.
We?re are having this same problem in a site which is very similar to yours.
We also migrated from Courier to Dovecot nearly 9 months ago, and every now and then users complain about slowness in
the imap connection. We fix it by removing the index files in the user's maildir.
We use Horde as webmail, but the problem

help troubleshooting inconsistencies in back up sizes
Hello list,
I'll first describe my set up:
server1 : live server
server2 : backup
server3 : backup of the backup
so the data set is copied in this order
server1->server2->server3
they are not done at the same time so there would be no collisions.
I use this shell script to back up:

Investigating suspected cache corruption
Hi All,
I'm running Dovecot 1.1.11 for a site of about 7000 active users with
a Squirrelmail frontend. We migrated from Courier (big shout to
everyone who worked on the wonderful part of the Dovecot wiki that
deals with Courier migration) and I have been extremely happy with the
performance gains Dovecot has given us. Not only is the IMAP part of
Squirrelmail faster, but our same

business ssl certs for centos www and/or email servers
Although I know the basics about getting and installing web and mail server
ssl certs, I haven't had to "purchase" and do it "myself" for some time. i
always had someone else dealing with it.
I am wondering what you folks on the list are using on your centos web and
mail servers
:-)
Are you making your own or are you purchasing them from godaddy, thawte,

imap segfault in mail-cache.c
Found an imap crash. I'm using the CVS copy from March 23. This is
running under Linux, kernel 2.6.11.something. We use mbox over NFS,
everything is on the NFS server. There is currently only one dovecot
server accessing the mailbox.
Here's the log messages:

Errors on mbox to Maildir conversion
I have Julian Fitzell's migrateuser.sh script which uses mb2md-3.20.pl
