Load balanced VIP
Hello everyone!
I am working on implementing my first Gluster/Ganesha NFS setup and I am flowing this guide: http://blog.gluster.org/2015/10/linux-scale-out-nfsv4-using-nfs-ganesha-and-glusterfs-one-step-at-a-time
Everything is working fine. I've got Gluster and Ganesha NFS working and I have VIPs on each node and it is failing over fine, if a little slowly. However, the VIPs don't

High availability of Dovecot
Hi, list,
I'm going to deploy postfix + dovecot + CephFS( as Mail Storage).
Basically I want to use two servers for them, which is kind of HA.
My idea is that using keepalived or Pacemaker to host a VIP, which
could fail over the other server once one is down. And I'll use Haproxy or
Nginx to schedule connections to one of those server based on source IP(

Floating IPv6 in a cluster (as NFS-Ganesha VIP)
Hi all,
I love this project, Gluster and Ganesha are amazing. Thank you for this
great work!
The only thing that I miss is IPv6 support. I know that there are some
challenges and that?s OK. For me it?s not important whether Gluster servers
use IPv4 or IPv6 to speak each other and replicate data.
The only thing that I?d like to have is a floating IPv6 for clients when I
use Ganesha (just IPv6,

thank you very much for support! I filed the bug:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1457724
I'll try to test it again to get some errors / warnings from log.
Best regards,

How to handle config files used by a combination of classes?
Hi,
How should I handle the combinatorics when one config file must be
built for a combination of possible classes?
Take for example the amd automounter''s configuration file, which on
Debian is found at /etc/am-utils/amd.conf. This is an INI style file
which looks like:
[fsname1]
param1=foo
param2=bar
[fsname2]
param1=baz
param2=quag
In my case I have one class of machines

Two sets of Heartbeat HTTPD clusters on same subnet
Hi all,
I am new to Hearbeat so please be kind :) I also posted this on
Linux-HA lists with no responses so I posted it here.
I have successfully configure two machines to use heartbeat to cluster
httpd. The two nodes are called etk-1 and etk-2. I am trying to
configure another two machines to act as a separate cluster (on the
same IP subnet). These two nodes are called radu-1 and radu-2.

Pacemaker bugs?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi!
I think I stumbled on at least two bugs in the CentOS 7.2 pacemaker package,
though I'm not quite sure if or where to report it.
I'm using the following package to set up a 2-node active/passive cluster:
[root at clnode1 ~]# rpm -q pacemaker
pacemaker-1.1.13-10.el7_2.4.x86_64
The installation is up-to-date on both nodes as of the

CISCO 30 VIP phone / 12 SP+ Connection does not free up
Hi,
I am using a 30 VIP phone and a 12 SP+ phone with
Asterisk. When I complete a call outside through the
ZAP device, the phone does not go back to dial tone,
even after I hang up. The line gets disconnected as
per Asterisk console. But the phone stays in the same
state like it is connected. The ZAP line is freed up
and I could make calls from other phones. Only this
phone just remained in

VIP 30 phone
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Hi,
I'm just learning about VoIP and Asterisk. I've got a developers kit on its
way and I've managed to get hold of a couple of cheap Cisco VIP 30 phones.
I've trawled the web and found a few snippets of information on these phones
but I still can't get them to work. Does anyone have any config files or any
idea on how (if I can)

GlusterFS, Pacemaker, OCF resource agents on CentOS 7
Hi guys
I'm wondering if anyone here is using the GlusterFS OCF
resource agents with Pacemaker on CentOS 7?
yum install centos-release-gluster
yum install glusterfs-server glusterfs-resource-agents
The reason I ask is that there seem to be a few problems
with them on 3.10, but these problems are so severe that I'm
struggling to believe I'm not just doing something wrong.

Dashboard parameters to control VIPs?
Some of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers in our environment
sometimes get assigned virtual IP addresses (eth0:1, eth0:2, etc).
Puppet Dashboard''s parameters seem like an ideal way to define and
provision virtual IPs on these servers. One could create a "vip1"
parameter on a node, and define a value of the IP address to use for
that vip. A manifest could then be written to

What is your Backup Strategy?
I was just curious to what your redundancy solution is. I have
considered many options, so I thought I would share and get an idea
for what others are doing. My setup is two different locations with a
10MB WLAN fiber link between the two. Each location has it's own PRI
as well.
I have considered and tested many options this last year or so.

glusterfs, ganesh, and pcs rules
I checked, and I have it like this:
# Name of the HA cluster created.
# must be unique within the subnet
HA_NAME="ganesha-nfs"
#
# The gluster server from which to mount the shared data volume.
HA_VOL_SERVER="tlxdmz-nfs1"
#
# N.B. you may use short names or long names; you may not use IP addrs.
# Once you select one, stay with it as it will be mildly unpleasant to

I'd like to stop the OCSF2_disk_heart_beat.
This is Hide.
This is the first contribution.
I'd like to configure cluster file system by OCFS2.
The number of nodes are two.
CompactFlash card(CF) is used as shared DISK.
Guarantees of the writing frequency to CF are up to 100,000 times.
However, it exceed in two day, due to the disk_heart_beat executed every two seconds.
I tried following procedures to solve that. It seems solved.

samba 3.0.7 and os/2
Hello,
samba v3.0.7 on suse linux v9.1
os/2 v4.x
I have started the process of replacing our os/2 hosts with linux,
starting with the server(s). Most of the problems have been firewall
related, a topic only briefly discussed in the docs (nudge).
Some of the hosts can now interact with the linux samba shares; not all
though. I have run ip traces and have gotten to a point that is a
