回复: guestfs_mount_local* api undefined symbols
Thank you Rich,
I checked the version and found that it printed an old 1.17.17 version which was deployed before.
But I remembered i did check the version in guestfish shell and it said 1.17.40 before that?then i totally ignored the fact i had another version involved.
I`ve changed the LD_LIBRARY_PATH and the "undefined symbol" error disappeared. But some "inspection API not

guestfs_mount_local api test: have to 'mount' before calling it?
Hi
I`ve been trying this guestfs_mount_local api for quite a few days,
but still can`t get over it.
Now it seems to have enter the fuse loop but have some problems with
'mount'?
and stops at guestfs_mount_local_run(g).
Here`s corresponding code in the test program:
??
if(guestfs_mount_local(g,"/mnt/libg")==-1)
exit(EXIT_FAILURE);
else
guestfs_mount_local_run(g);
??
Below is a

the 'hivex' had been installed actually, hivex.x86_64 0:1.2.4-3.el6 and perl-hivex.x86_64 0:1.2.4-3.el6,
however it just could not be detected.Maybe i should compile one rather than just yum.
I`m not familiar with hivex,as far as i know, it can be used to modify windows registry,
but why the inspection API had been binded with hivex when we might use inspection api
solely with linux os

[PATCH 1/2] php: make the test suite failures fatal
So far the failure of some test would have not reported a non-zero
return value by run-tests.php. Since now all the PHP tests pass, we can
ask for failures to be fatal, by exporting REPORT_EXIT_STATUS=1 for
run-tests.php.

Proposed changes for OpenStack
[These two patches are for discussion only]
Allow FUSE support to be used directly through the API.
This is the second commit.
In order to make this usable from guestfish, we have to
also bind the events API in guestfish. This is the first
commit.

[PATCH v3] New APIs: mount-local, mount-local-run and umount-local using FUSE
This changes the proposed API slightly.
Previously 'mount-local' generating a 'mounted' event when the
filesystem was ready, and from the 'mounted' event you had to
effectively do a fork.
Now, 'mount-local' just initializes the mountpoint and you have to
call 'mount-local-run' to enter the FUSE main loop. Between these
calls you can do a fork or whatever

Re: Extract VHD using guestfs
Thanks a lot. I was trying to copy on local disk and guestfs_download ()
solved my problem.
Now I am trying to modify source code of guestfs_download () to extract
file in memory. Can you guide me what should i do to achieve that.

[PATCH 0/3] Enable FUSE support in the API via 'mount-local' call.
This patch is just for review.
It enables FUSE support in the API via two new calls,
'guestfs_mount_local' and 'guestfs_umount_local'.
FUSE turns out to be very easy to deadlock (necessitating that the
machine be rebooted). Running the test from the third patch is
usually an effective way to demonstrate this. However I have not yet
managed to produce a simple reproducer that

Bug Report, .vhdx file not attaching
I am trying to mount a windows 10 backup .vhdx file.
I installed libguestfs through ```sudo apt-get install libguestfs-tools```
I am running Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS and this is the installed version: ```1:1.36.13-1ubuntu3.2```
This is the output of the command I ran:

Console to RHEL6.1 container
We are trying to create RHEL6.1 container and having trouble getting a
proper console to the container.
I have used lxc containers in the past and lxc has a script (lxc-fedora)
to setup a basic Fedora container. Is there something similar or docs
with virtmgr ?
We started out making a copy of the root fs and using that copy as the
root for the container. I made a couple of tweaks to the
