Bug#519064: xen-utils-common: /var/lib/xen/save gets created after reboot
Package: xen-utils-common
Version: 3.2.0-2
Followup-For: Bug #519064
I've experienced the same problem (missing /var/lib/xen/save) on one host,
but had no problem on another.
Some investigation showed that /var/lib/xen/save gets created on some
actions like a reboot whith a suspend/resume cycle.
This problem will thus not be reproducable on quite some hosts, but is a
real bug.

Subversion graphical client?
Hi All -
I notice that most of the Rails team are using Mac OS X and TextMate for
Ruby development. I too am working on Mac OS X and trying TextMate and
(shudder?) EMacs.
I was wondering about version control. Are folks using Subversion? If
so, are they using a graphical client? Which one do they recommend?
Yours,
Jordan

Thunderbird log-in --->Authentication failed - password in uppercase in log files
Hi
I use dovecot 2.1.5 with postfix, amavis, spamassasin, mysql, virtual
domains only. Dovecot being used for SASL authentication, and delivery.
When I connect via telnet to port 25 or with smtp and try to do
auth plain with mmencode connection string authentication works fine. I
can send and recieve messages, and relay works as well.
Trying to set up thunderbird to connect to this server I get

Increase size of ext3 filesystem WHILE MOUNTED
Hi,
We will have to go and use SuSE (30 servers) just because ext3
filesystem cannot be increase while the filesystem is mounted.
I Don't understand why RedHat do not support filesystems that can do
thing that ext3 cannot do.
When is RedHat going to understand that in a production environnement
(30 servers that is seems will be SuSE) we need extend filesystem online.

on reboot /var/run/asterisk owner changed to root.
I've set up runuser as asterisk. /var/run/asterisk is created
asterisk.asterisk, but each time I reboot, ownership is changed to
root.root.
How come? How do I stop the ownership change?

Can you change my address from jacques.menu at unige.ch to jacques.menu at tvtmail.ch, or unsubscribe for me directly?
Thanks!

Enlarge ext3 Logical Volume (Filesystem) in a volume group (LVM)
Anybody know a way to enlarge a filesystem ext3 without having to unmounted it, when they are still space left in the volume group (when using LVM) ?
I will be running large production linux system running Oracle.
I can't stop the database everytime I have to enlarge a filesystem.
We can do it with all others filesystems (JFS, REISERSFS and XFS) when they are created in a volume group. Why

Whee, I just _know_ I'm going to be positively skewered (and maybe even

be a bit funny.? So lighten up, and enjoy a short read.

Still avoiding loops
Dear all,
I have a matrix X with 47 lines and say 500 columns - values are in {0,1}.
I'd like to compare lines.
For that, I first did:
for (i in 1:(dim(X)[1]-1))
for (j in (i+1):dim(X)[1]) {
Y <- X[i,]+Y[j,]
etc.
but, since it takes a long time, I would prefer avoding loops;
for that, my first idea was to add this matrix:
X1=X[,rep(1:46,46:1)]
to this one:
res=NULL

Attempting to get BLF working with linphone
So I've got a bit further with my project to get BLF working between
asterisk and linphone.
Initially asterisk was rejecting linphone's SUBSCRIBE messages because
they didn't have an Accept: header. I've fixed that and now the initial
SUBSCRIBE messages work and I see all my online contacts in green.
But after a few minutes linphone attempts to renew the subscriptions and
