[PATCH] qemu-xen: Fix open_disk for blktap disks
qemu-xen: Fix open_disk for blktap disks If blktap drives are registered properly, qemu code is much less likely to get confused by them. Use bdrv_new(), assign a device name and create an entry in drives_table for them. virsh attach-disk with cache=none and io=native for raw devices (online)
Hello, I see there is an option with virsh attach-disk to set the cache to "none" for raw devices, but I can't find how to attach the disk with io=native (needed for performance reasons). The goal is to attach a disk online, directly with the proper performance settings. I know I can set this in virt-manager, but then I have to restart the VM to apply the change, so this is an

Sieve, shared folders, different daemons
Hi, In our dovecot setup we use 3 different config files. One for maildropping(sieve), one for dovecot/imap on standard ports with ssl config and one for dovecot/imap on standard ports+1 with a different ssl certificate. Currently the client using the standard port+1 config wants to make use of shared folders, but the thing is that the current namespace separator in all configs is '.'.

New winetricks 20080522: added directx9, wmp10, mono19; lots of bug fixes, nicer gui
Winetricks, described at http://wiki.winehq.org/winetricks, is a handy tool for downloading bits and pieces that ought to be included in Wine or in Windows apps, but aren't yet for some reason. Since the last time I announced it on wine-users, I've added three new verbs: directx9, wmp10, and mono19 and fixed lots of bugs. The directx9 verb is experimental. Please try it and let me

High I/O wait with Dovecot POP3
Hello, In the past we've had 4 loadbalanced servers configured with courier pop3 and dovecot handling respectively POP3 and IMAP connections. These 4 servers have a shared NFS storage on a Netapp FAS3220 controller with SAS disks. This setup is handling 50 POP3 sessions per second without any problems. Now we're installing 6 new loadbalanced servers to do the same job on the same

Does libvirt-sanlock support network disk?
Hello, As we know, libvirt sanlock support file type storage. I wonder *if it supports network storage.* I tried *iSCSI*, but found it didn't generate any resource file: Version: *qemu-2.10 libvirt-3.9 sanlock-3.5* 1. Set configuration: qemu.conf: *lock_manager = "sanlock"* qemu-sanlock.conf: *auto_disk_leases = 1disk_lease_dir = "/var/lib/libvirt/sanlock"host_id =

7.1 new install halts on BTX error
I upgraded my 7.0 system to 7.1-RELEASE with freebsd-update only to find that it no longer boots correctly, instead crashing with a BTX backtrace. If I break to the loader prompt and use 'ls /boot', I also get a backtrace. A new install of 7.1 on this hardware using a separate SCSI card and drive array also leads to a BTX backtrace. I have copied this below as the first (most

Sanlock gives up lock when VM is paused
Hello, I'm using libvirt and sanlock on qemu-kvm guests. Each guest has it's own Logical Volume for it's root filesystem. Sanlock is configured and working and prevents me from starting the same VM twice on multiple nodes and corrupting it's root filesystem. Each VM's domain XML resides on 2 servers that share the LVM volume group over fiber channel. In testing, I noticed

5.1p1 doesn't work, 5.0p1 works fine
5.1p1 disconnects after the password prompt when connecting to my router and UPS. 5.1p1 connects fine to other unix hosts, and my Windows client connects fine to 5.1p1 servers. 5.0p1 works fine everywhere. I've tried ssh -T, ssh -t, permutations with ssh -o Compression=no -o TCPKeepAlive=no, etc, to no avail. I've used the default ssh_config file, and it still fails. Can anyone

Hi, when the attached mail was stored in a maildir, fetching mail via POP3 lead to multiple delivery of mails in that maildir to the client (Outlook). I replaced the domain with dots. This is the dovecot configuration: --snip-- protocols = imap imaps pop3 pop3s listen = * disable_plaintext_auth = no ssl_cert_file = /etc/ssl/dovecot/server.pem ssl_key_file = /etc/ssl/dovecot/server.key

How to properly test watchdog?
CentOS 6 Hi all, I am working on setting up sanlock + watchdog on a 2 node KVM pair. Sanlock is working beautifully and is preventing access to the VM disks by more than one process as it should across both boxes. I am attempting to test failure scenarios involving watchdog, but I am having a hard time getting it to actually reset the server. I am running wdmd with -D so I can see the
