DVDFab 8.1.6.8
Hi Not sure if this is the correct place to put this? I installed DVDFab 8.1.6.8 (latest version) in Wine 1.4 and ripped a couple of DVD's with no problem whatsoever. I haven't been able to try copying a Blu-ray disk as i don't have a drive for my laptop, i will also have a go at converting a DVD to another file via DVDFab later and get back with the result. Just wanted to share my

Wine and DVDFab Platinum 6.0.6.0
Ok, so I installed wine and DVDFab Platinum. However, when running DVDFab, I can't run it like normal because it will only mount one DVD drive at a time. So I can't just pop in a dvd and let it copy itself and write itself, I have to copy it then I have to burn it manually. Is there away to allow the bottle to mount both DVD drives so that I can read the disc with one drive and burn it

Problem Running DVDFab
I'm trying to run DVDFab 8.1.7.6 (latest version according to the website) on Ubuntu 11.10 and it seems to install fine but when I try to open it, either through clicking the exe or through the console, nothing happens. The Wine db says DVDFab is platinum so I'm a bit confused. Printout from trying to run in console: Code: josh at josh-laptop:~$ wine start 'C:\Program Files\DVDFab 8

Problems with DvdFab
First, I'm brand new to Linux and Wine, but I'm fed up with Windows and all the problems that come along with it. So far, Ubuntu 11.04 has met all my needs except one. I need a program to shrink DVDs to 4gb to fit on a single layer disc. I tried the native Linux programs (K9, Dvd95), but they didn't work well (K9 took over an hour, and wouldn't work unless I chose to shrink the

New launcher in Gnome
Hi! In Centos 5, when I add a launcher to the desktop, it doesn't allow me to choose an icon for the launcher. After creating it, right-click/properties also has no way to choose an icon. It seems to assign one itself, and the one i get looks like a small terminal window, or something. How can I pick the icon for a desktop launcher myself? My old Centos 4.5 installation allowed me to pick

Kubuntu 10.10 hangs up, while using DVDFab with wine 1.2/1.3
Hello, first of all, let me say sorry, for my ugly english ! In the past, I used DVDFab 7/8 with wine 1.2 on Kubuntu 10.04. Everything worked fine, without any special configuration. I used the Blu-Ray to Blu-Ray Function. Now, i did a new installation of Kubuntu 10.10, and DVDFab looks like this: DVDFAB 7.0.9.3 [Image: http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/1065/dvdfab7093.png ] DVDFab 8.0.7.3

Question concerning creating .exe shorcuts.
Hey guys, I was curious about something. When Wine installs a program, that creates a shortcut after installation, it is usually placed on the desktop (as it would in Windows). So how I can create the same type of shortcut which will use the .exe's inbuilt icon; as Wine does? I know how to create a shortcut but i'd manually need to search for a .png file to use as that shortcuts icon.

DVDFab not working anymore
I used DVDFab-8.0.2.2 with wine and ubuntu 10.04 for quite some time and everything worked pretty well. After doing a fresh install of ubuntu 10.10 DVDFab didn't recognize my BD-ROM drive anymore. In Ubuntu 10.04 I had to wait until the linux autorun had finished and then DVDFab started to check the disc. With Ubuntu 10.10 the linux autorun finishes but DVDFab does nothing. I also upgraded

Automated shortcut generation
Hello, I have installed Wine 1.3.5 on two Debian boards. On the first one, it was a fresh install: git clone, ./configure, make install. On this board, when I install a program with Wine, it automatically creates a shortcut in the Application menu (OK, I know how to do) and more important, it associates an icon with the launcher (I do not know how it does that, neither where it finds it?!). On
