CentOS 6 and NIS not working
I am having no luck getting NIS to work on a clean install of CentOS 6. It seems to be an issue with ypbind.
I have simple /etc/yp.conf which explicitly sets the server
domain myDomain server myServer
The service seems to start okay
#service ypbind start
Starting NIS service: [OK]
Binding NIS service: ? [OK]
But when I try to use any of the yp services, like ypwhich
#ypwhich

Compilation with Kerberos problem
I'm trying to compile Samba 3.0.4 with Active Directory support on
OpenBSD 3.5, using the native Kerberos libraries (which happens to be
Heimdal 0.6). Unfortunately, ./configure isn't working right. If anyone
can help me figure out what the problem is, i would appreciate it.
First a bit of info on OpenBSD's Kerberos path layout, in case it
matters:

NIS/Samba update
My test setup consists of Enterprise 5 server running NIS and Samba, and
dual-boot XP and CentOS 5 clients.
On my test setup, I'm able to create new samba accounts and change samba
passwords with no problems.
NIS still gives me problems, though. I am unable to change passwords no
matter what. Also, ypwhich on the client returns localhost.
I have reviewed everything, including configs

Contribution to 3.8.1pl1
Hello,
I added the support for netgroups to be used in the
AllowUsers and DenyUsers parameters. This has some
advantages:
* hostnames or ip addresses need not to be written or
maintained in the sshd_config file, but can be kept
abstract names what also simplifies a bit largescale
openssh installations
* sshd_config needs not change and sshd be restarted
when changing the list of allowed /

Equilivant for a sshchroot file?
Hey guys I really have made use of the ftpchroot file in /etc but I wonder
why is there no equivalent of that for ssh and telnet accounts? Basically
simply limiting traversing the file system to specific shell users root.
Regards,
Jason

vlan0 on em0 has mtu 1496
Why does a vlan created against em0 have a mtu of 1496.
This is on 4.8-STABLE (cvsup'd this afternoon).

PF in 4.8-STABLE
My apologies in advance if this is the wrong list to ask this in, but
how well does pf work in 4.8-STABLE? And if so, what kernel options do
I need to compile in? Can pf kernel options coexist w/ IPFW options, if
I keep the IPFW modulus from loading? Can I still bridge in regular
fashion w/ pf? I've already read up on
http://pf4freebsd.love2party.net/install.html, but this seemd a bit
