New 'amr' driver and linux MegaMGR
Hi, according to http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/src/sys/dev/amr/amr.c?only_with_tag=RELENG_6 it seems MegaMGR for linux now can work. Any experience? -- Cris, member of G.U.F.I Italian FreeBSD User Group http://www.gufi.org/

UNDI - Rom-O-Matic -- A bit off topic..
Hi, I work in Dell Support and I have a customer with a PowerEdge 1650 Server with Intel? PRO/1000 XT (82544GC Gigabit Ethernet Controllers). The nic is integrated on the motherboard. The customer is using a Linux system with DHCP+tftp to PXE boot and load an MS-Dos 6.22 image, with an UNDI driver, over to the PowerEdge 1650 and then map a Samba share to install Windows 2000. The customer get

FreeBSD 6.0 panics - sbdrop
Hi, I've encountered a strange problem while using FreeBSD 6.0 for our local mirror (mirror.math.uni-bielefeld.de) and thus is providing access via ftp, http, rsync and cvsup (all local and remote). The system crashes periodically with a kernel panic (panic: sbdrop). The uptimes between two crashes are going from a few hours to a few weeks. The system is a i386, Intel Pentium 4 based with

dhclient doing DISCOVER with bad IP checksum - bge
Sorry for the cross-post, but this could be either lists problem. I have 2 boxes running 7-STABLE as of 20081130, both i386 SMP. One is running ISC DHCPD 3.0.x from recent ports, and the other dhclient from make world. The server is refusing to answer the DISCOVER request, as it thinks the IP checksum is wrong, which tcpdump also confirms. Other DHCP clients are working fine on this network,

IO causing major performance issues
Hello everyone. I'm wondering what other people's experiences are WRT systems becoming unresponsive (unable to ssh in, etc) for brief periods of time when a large amount of IO is being performed. It's really starting to cause a problem for us. We're on Dell PowerEdge 1955 blades - but this same issue has caused us problems on PE1950, PE1850, PE1750 servers. We're running

Centos-4 Kernel pannic
Hi all, We are running a new Centos-4 server, and it has kernel panicked on us 4 times in the last month. After the first kernel panic we hooked up a serial console to the server and captured the output in order to have a record of what happens. I've included the error messages from the last time it locked up... but it doesn't really mean much to me. Anybody have any ideas what might be

Ext3 on RAID5 for video archive server
I am using a terabyte RAID5 with ext3 and created using mdadm, to store jpeg files on a rehdat 7.3 system. I need to write files to the RAID5 at the rate of 800 files per second, and each file is about 10-20 KB in size. I have tried using data-writeback and the noatime options while mounting, and I am also using a stipe-size of 4MB (since 4MB was the max that mdadm would allow me), and i have

Does Asterisk support AMR and AMR-WB
Hi all, I have a project for the 3G related, AMR and AMR-WB support. I'm using the client develop suite from the PortSIP(http://www.portsip.com), as their said support the AMR, AMR-WB with RFC4867. Now I have to setup a SIP server/SIP PBX in our Lab for test, does the Asterisk support these codecs and RFC4867 ? If no, there has any plugin to support this ? Also, any other Server/PBX which

amr
Just noticed that packman has precompiled versions of amr codec. Both wideband and narrowband. Can these be used for asterisk? Heard some nice about AMR (in general) If so, any one around with experience with either?? hw

AMR vs Speex on wireless networks.
NB for CSD/HSCSD and WB for UMTS/HSDPA. The UMTS/HSDPA services already provides an excellent turbo code correction. For what i know i can tell you more about corrupted packets. The BER ranges from 10^-5 to 10^-2 for CSD/HSCDS in transparent mode, and from 10^-9 to 10^-6 for UMTS/HSDPA. It depends on signal quality and if you're walking/standing or if you're in real mobility (for example

bootstrapping the lme model
Dear all, I have a data set o which I'd like to fit lme model. There are three factors one of whoich is nested. This should be easy to do using lme in R, but the problem ist that the data is highly non-normal. I was thinking about bootstrapping the distribution but don't have much experience of doing this in R and most references I find don't seem to go beyond the

[Question] How to restore btrfs raid0 image file?
Hi, So the case is, now I''ve got a btrfs image file, which is created from a raid0 btrfs fs. And if I run ''btrfs-image -r image_file /dev/sdf'', then I have to mount it with ''degraded'' mode, and that still fails because raid0 requires two disks at least. So any ideas how to make it work? thanks, liubo -- To unsubscribe from this list: send the line

RAID0 limiting disk utilization
I noticed that if I have single-device allocation for data in a multi-device btrfs filesystem, a balance operation will convert the data to RAID0. This is true even if ''-d single'' is specified explicitly when creating the filesystem. Then it wants to continue using RAID0 for future data allocations, and I run out of space once there''s no longer two drives with space

raid0 corruption, how to restore?
I have two disks that I formatted as btrfs RAID0 on opensuse 11.3. The raid worked well several days until there was a power surge. The system successfully rebooted and the btrfs raid reappeared, but the kernel occasionally threw oops. That was my first experience with oops. After two days, the btrfs raid failed to mount via fstab and when I manually tried to mount it, there was a kernel

Another question: Can i just copy all my files to windows laptop and if i wan't
