Matching username in ssh_config
Hi all openssh devs out there.
I have quite a few Host-stanzas in my .ssh/config to keep track of all the
different settings and credentials needed to access all different hosts I
connect to.
Now I have ran in to a problem where I need to switch settings based on what
user I'm trying to login to a host as. A simple case is:
ssh -i rootkey root at host123
vs.
ssh -i userkey username at

Some problems with Unbound under CentOS8
Good morning,
I have detected two strange problems with unbound under CentOS8 (fully patched). I have tried same configuration in an OpenBSD host, and these problems do not appear.
a/ Error mesage ?connection refused?. I am using this unbound server to resolv DNS records for our internal domain (Bind9 is configured to listen in localhost interface, port 5353 udp and in the same host where

Problem with `profiles`
I'm trying to move some roaming profiles from Domain A to B. All of the
profiles are from XP SP3. The originating machine is Debian 5/AMD64, samba
3.4.5 from Debian packages. The destination machine is Ubuntu 9.10, but x86.
From everything I've read and found online, `profiles` is supposed to work for
XP with no problems. When I attempt to do a SID change on NTUSER.DAT, I get

Problem with /usr/bin/profiles "Could not get rootkey"
Hi.
Current host OS: CentOS5.9
Current client OS: Windows XP (all the latest stuff)
Current Samba: 3.6.6-0.129.el5
Ever since 3.4 I am having problems with the "/usr/bin/profiles" binary, it does NOT allow me to change a SID within a registry file.
However, using an older version of the binary (3.0.33-3.29.el5_5.1) it does.
If I execute the following command (note the last 4 digits on

Install Package only if a certain file exists.
So I can''t quite see how to do this in the existing syntax.
Ideally there would be an onlyif parameter for packages, but that doesn''t
seem to be the case.
I could create a fact that returns true or false depending on whether the
file exists, but that doesn''t feel like the right way to do it either.
I could do something like:
$file_exists =

That may also be the difference. RHEL-8 is 1.7.3 so I don't know if that
added features or config options which the 1.9.4 has in it.

Chrome not allowing mixed content anymore
Hi.
With its 80th version, Chrome stopped serving non-secure resources on https
pages. This affected the icecast server I run also. I enabled SSL, the
issue with Chrome not playing audio got fixed, but I noticed a major drop
in the number of listeners. As far as I figured out, the listeners that
have the http url in a playlist - listening in winamp, vlc etc. - could
listen no more. Those using

Looking for help in calculating percentiles
Hi All:
I am working with a dataset on Arsenic toxicity, and I am trying to
calculate the 20th, 40th, 60th, 80th, and highest percentiles for a
variable, dietary Moisture (variable name dMoist).
The inbuilt function quantile(dMoist) would print 0, 25th, 50th, 75th, and
100th percentile. Does there exist a function that can calculate xth
percentile (where x = 10th, 20th, ... etc) values?

Validate a theory regarding puppet (+ firstboot) please
As I sit here staring at my manifests (and pondering a module to
control Glassfish), I''m pondering the best way to do a first-run of
puppet to get the initial repositories and puppet configuration
downloaded. My theory is that I''ll modify rc.local (or replace
firstboot-tui, we don''t use it with automated builds) to run puppetd
twice - once to request the certificate,

This is a real problem that needs to be addressed.
Anyone has figured a way to mitigate this?

Bind Module
Anyone know where I can find a good chrooted named module for centos?
Named as chroot is ugly... soft and hard links everywhere...

Chrome not allowing mixed content anymore
For example, in my case, we use several servers with Centovacast, with
several Icecast2 services. Version 2.5 of Icecast2, allows to respond to
http and https connections from the same port, but takes years in beta.
Centovacast does not update its panel, waiting for the final version of
Icecast 2.5 to be released.
Chrome has been warning for months that this would happen in February, but

3.7.1p2: HP-UX 11.00 & NIS+ problems
Hi all,
When we installed OpenSSH 3.7.1p2, we could no longer ssh into the root
account. The following message would appear in the syslog.log:
Oct 8 19:20:38 myhost sshd[22179]: User root not allowed because account is
locked
We use NIS+ under HP-UX 11.00. We have very recently changed the root
password. To change the root password under NIS+ we do the following:
# passed
# chkey -p

Renouoveau hangs on 79th test on 8800 GT
Hello,
I am still trying to get you a dump from my brother's 8800 (because
the dumps page says that you have never received one).
The computer has a nVidia Corporation GeForce 8800 GT (rev a2) and I
am running Koala's script.
It compiles and runs through most of the tests properly, but
consistently hangs indefinitely on the 79th test until I press Ctrl+C
and quit the program.
