Announce: References are now on Trac
I''ve converted all of the inline docs over to restructured text, and I''ve got them all up on trac: http://reductivelabs.com/trac/puppet/wiki/TypeReference http://reductivelabs.com/trac/puppet/wiki/FunctionReference http://reductivelabs.com/trac/puppet/wiki/ReportReference http://reductivelabs.com/trac/puppet/wiki/ConfigurationReference Please let me know if you find any

Editing the references
Hi all, I''ve just noticed that two wiki users edited the wiki reference documents. One of these edits (to the function reference) was a good edit but would have been overwritten if I did not find it. The other edit (s/darwinports/macports/g) made the documentation incorrect, since the provider actually is called darwinports (even if that itself is a bug). I haven''t

RST conversion of NUT documentation
Arnaud mentioned the RST conversion in his 2.2.1 announcement email, and the following is an update on what's happening. As you can see in r1195 of trunk/README, RST is a lightweight markup on top of plain text. The main source of information on RST (short for ReStructuredText) is here: http://docutils.sourceforge.net/rst.html I am volunteering to do the conversion of the documentation, but

POP3 Immediate Connection Termination
Hey everyone... Thanks in advance for any help. I seem to have the opposite problem that a lot of people have - I've been running Dovecot v. 1.0.10 quite successfully for IMAP for several months. However, one of our executives has her heart set on being able to get her mail via POP3. It looks to me like I have both configured, but when trying to log in via a POP3 or POP3s connection

dbinom and Catherine Loader
Hi Folks, There has been past correspondence regarding Catherine Loader's Bell Labs (oops, Lucent) paper "Fast and Accurate Computation of Binomial Probabilities" which gives the algorithm on which R's dbinom() is based. The original URL given in the R documentation "?dbinom" is: http://cm.bell-labs.com/cm/ms/departments/sia/catherine/dbinom but this link is

[LLVMdev] [RFC] Moving to Sphinx for LLVM and friends documentation (with partial implementation (in both 10pt and 12pt font)).
Hi Michael, Awesome work! I'm a strong supporter of using Sphinx. I've been using it for the LNT docs (http://llvm.org/docs/lnt/) and it is quite nice to work with. +1 for migrating over. - Daniel On Sun, Aug 8, 2010 at 11:29 PM, Michael Spencer <bigcheesegs at gmail.com> wrote: > Moving the LLVM Documentation to Sphinx > ======================================= > >

[LLVMdev] [RFC] Moving to Sphinx for LLVM and friends documentation (with partial implementation (in both 10pt and 12pt font)).
Michael, The benefits of Sphinx sound nice but one comment: The main page and the tables of contents in the other pages (at least the ones I looked at: Getting Started; Lang Ref) are so long and sparse that it is difficult to get the big picture of what is there and even to find a document unless you know what to search for. The originals were much more compact and so much better in this regard.

puppetdoc - referring to main class
I''m being a good boy and using the puppetdoc tool to document my classes, however I''m hitting a minor annoyance. The top level documentation for a module (let''s call it "example) is pulled from example/README (not example/manifests/init.pp), okay I can cope with that. The documentation for the class in example/manifests/init.pp ends up as example::example (hmm,

rspec-puppet and puppet doc conflicts
I recently started trying to use rspec-puppet and puppetlabs-rspec-helper. When I ran ''rspec-puppet-init'' in one o fmy modules, it created a series of symlinks. Now, when I run puppet doc (via a rake task supplied by The Foreman, but also when I call it directly) I get the following error: Could not generate documentation: Definition ''mongodb::addmongouser''
