Inter-host dependencies
The other question that''s been bugging me that I''m hoping someone has
already thought about is how to describe inter-host dependencies.
We have a few examples of situations where we need puppet to be aware
of the state of other machines in the cluster:
1) Load balanced servers - it would be nice if we could write rules
that will only allow puppet to change the state of one

iClassify "Internal Server Error"
Hi!
I just installed iClassify without a problem, it is running and
accessable but I get a rather strange error when trying to run the
icagent commands:
$ ./bin/icagent -s http://puppet02:3000 -d icagent/
/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/net/http.rb:2094:in `error!'': 500 "Internal Server

Is Puppet similar to Capistrano?
I discovered Capistrano while I was trying to figure out what I
wanted. See attached notes.
http://www.genunix.org/wiki/index.php/GNOSIS/Kraken
Puppet seems promising.
Thanks,

Lookup and scoping of hiera data from erb templates
Hey Folks.
Reading through the docs and the mailing list only helped confusing me
more, so maybe its better to just ask if my approach is correct.
Imagine a basic project structure with a module and two classes inside:
modules
|- my_module
|-frontend
|-backend
I''m using Hiera to manage dynamic values, so lets say I have:

backend:
foo:
bar: "boo"

TEXINFO error when building R-3.4.0
Hello.
I am trying to build 64 bit R-3.4.0 (specifically
R-patched_2017-04-23) on Windows 64 and have run into an issue with
building the html files. I am using Rtools34 version 1962, the texinfo
zip from <http://www.stats.ox.ac.uk/pub/Rtools/> unzipped into
C:\R\texinfo, and Strawberry perl 5.24.1.1-64bit. In my MkRules.local
I have the following, which worked for building R in 3.3.x:

gsub and regex to tidy comma-limited values
I am cleaning up comma-limited values, so that only one comma
separates each value. Using the example below, as much as I try with
regex, I can't remove the last comma. I hope to have a one-liner
solution, if possible.
gsub("^,*|,*$|(,)*", "\\1", ",,,apple,,orange,,,,,lemon,strawberry,,,,")
[1] "apple,orange,lemon,strawberry,"

Reading word by word in a dataset
Hello All,
I'd like to read first words in lines into a new file.
If I have a data file the following, how can I get the
first words: apple, banana, strawberry?
i1-apple 10$ New_York
i2-banana 5$ London
i3-strawberry 7$ Japan
Is there any similar question already posted to the
list? I am a bit new to R, having a few months of
experience now.
Cheers,
John

Round Robin Strategy doesn't seem to work
Hi,
I have configured a call queue as follows:
[sales]
music = default
strategy = roundrobin
timeout = 20
retry = 5
reportholdtime = yes
announce = queue-sales
member => Agent/9021
member => Agent/5901
member => Agent/9020
member => Agent/1114
Now, I would expect all calls to this queue to be delivered first to 9021,
then to 5901, then to 9020, then to 1114 (all agents are logged in

[LLVMdev] Compile dll on Mingw
Good evening, Yuan
Excuse me, I gave up Debug build earlier due to my poor hosts.
I will improve able to build Debug ;)
You may build with --enable-optimized=yes
(or, make ENABLE_OPTIMIZED=1)
btw, DLL builder has implemented since Aug.
It might be easier to port DLL stuff to 2.6 :) Do you try?

bridge and ipp2p question
Hi all !!!
I have a firewall bridge (not router) with two nics that filter p2p with ipp2p.
All works fine but now I need to add a third nic to route all p2p traffic

It is that possible with a bridge ?
Later (with other server) connect to this nic I do loading balancing
with two adsl lines to route all p2p traffic.
Any hint ?
Any howto ?
Thanks in advance.

Problems with building R from sources
Hello all,
I'm trying to build R 32bit from source in a Windows 64 machine. I have
followed the steps in "R Installation and Adiministration" (
http://cran.r-project.org/doc/manuals/R-admin.html#Getting-the-source-files)
or at least I think I did everything described. I am not sure if I have
installed the libjpeg, libtiff and libpng files though. I have upzipped
them in the

Hello, NAKAMURA Takumi
As you said, I check out the head from svn trunk.
I build the source code as the following steps:

After 1 hour, the building procedure is stopped and appear the following
error message:
c:/strawberry/c/bin/../lib/gcc/i686-w64-mingw32/4.4.3/../../../../i686-w64-mingw
