portupgrade issue
I am running 4.8-STABLE. I recently did a cvsup (repeatedly, most recently today). Ever since, portupgrade dies with the following messages: zircon# portupgrade -r pkgconfig /usr/local/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.6/pkgdb.rb:310:in `deorigin': failed to convert nil into String (PkgDB::DBError) from /usr/local/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.6/pkgdb.rb:903:in `tsort_build' from

Strange dialplan matching issue
Greetings list, Wondering if anyone has come across this strange dialplan pattern matching issue before: I have a context defined as follows (the plus simply implies it follows on from an existing context in another #include - which, yes, has been included first): [privatedundi](+) exten => _hilton-2XX,1,Goto(hilton,${EXTEN:7},1) When dialling hilton-202 from another box via IAX2, I get:

issue with ports
my ports database seems to have become broken. I'm running -stable, but haven't rebuilt the system in a year or so (I know, security vulerabilities, but the box has been shelved in this time). anyhow, at this point, I can't do even a make clean in ports, or build portupgrade. I fetched portupgrade with pkg_add hoping that running pkgdb -F would sort things out, but it errors with: **

lattice custom axis function -- right side margins
Dear R help list, I have a plot with two different vertical scales that I want to display on either side of the plot. It's quite similar to the Fahrenheit-Centigrade example in the examples section of the documentation for axis.default. The right-side axis is clipped off, though, and I haven't been able to figure out anything with viewport() and clipping or trellis.par.set to fix

Queues and busy agents problem
Hi I have a problem with the queues on Asterisk. The setup is Asterisk@Home v1.0 with Asterisk 1.0.7. I have 1 queue (4500) set up, with leastrecent strategy. There are no agents configured in this queue. Agents log in by dialing 4500* on their phones. All incoming calls are sent to the queue. Calls wait 120 seconds in the queue, and are then sent to voicemail extension 310. My problem is

Controlling an APC 9210 with nut
I have an APC 9210 PDU in my rack. It's connected to the network and is configurable by web access. I'd like to control it in combination with my ups. Unfortunately I cannot get NUT to recognise this PDU. Here's my ups.conf section: [apc] driver = snmp-ups port = 192.168.10.21 mibs = auto community = public snmp_version = v1 running upsdrvctl gives this: $ sudo

rbind error (maybe a problem with chron package?)
Hello, I have a list of data frames that I would like to combine to a single data frame. I typically do this with: do.call(rbind, list.of.dataframes) This time, I get Error in class(x) <- cl : cannot set class to "array" unless the dimension attribute has length > 0 I'm not sure what's happening. Each data frame has a column of chron objects and a column of float

Is it safe to delete /bin/[ && /usr/bin/false?
Greetings, Well, I en devoured to install a copy of 7 as an effort to upgrade one of our servers. After installing a few ports, I began to notice: [: -le: argument expected messages being emitted during the configure/make process. I've already invested a fair amount of time on this upgrade, and /really/ don't want to wipe the disk(s) and start all over. This issue is not new to me - see

help compiling add-on package
Hello r-help, I am having trouble installing the add-on package gstat. I suspect (but I'm not sure) that the trouble may be that it runs all the checks for gcc, then uses Intel's compiler to actually compile. I have not been able to successfully force it to use gcc to test that theory. R CMD INSTALL and R.version() output follow below; any help greatly appreciated! -Tim -- Timothy

Lohan the observable
Sorry, that name is a misnomer. However, I was excited to find that Ruby has a built in Observable module and I''m pretty bored, so I apologize in advance.... require ''observer'' # one who is observed class Celebrity include Observable attr_accessor :name attr_reader :is def is=(val) @is = val changed notify_observers(self) end end # one who

Should I have to run make readme/index in ports after cvsup's?
/usr/ports/www/README.html went from some 200 lines to over 500 on a `make readme' in that directory just now. I thought `cvsup -g -L 2 /etc/cvsup_ports' would update the README.html files too. Should I be running `make readme' and/or `make index' (and/or anything else) myself after cvsupdating ports? -- Doug Lee dgl@dlee.org http://www.dlee.org Bartimaeus
