Hi I have installed CentOS 5 on my computer which has an Intel ICH5 sound chip. The card appears as it should, and I can adjust the volume just fine. However, when I try to play a sound file(.ogg for instance), rhythmbox plays through the file, but no sound is heard. I've tried as root, and I've tried doing cat /dev/urandom > /dev/dsp, and it's all quiet. Output from lspci:

Hi all, I want to have a warmboot nonvolatile ramdisk to put and start XP from ram. That means that the ramdisk and its content have to survive a reboot on a "normal computer"! (No battery ...hihi) First I make a try with Microsoft ramdrive.sys and switch /e in config.sys from Dos 6.22 and with qemm386.sys but that doesnt work for me. I have just finished installing all the pieces of Redhat Linux 9 (2.4.20-8), Asterisk-0.9.1, Gnophone-0.2.4 on my IBM T30. Audio card is SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio. Not sure what the chips are. But everything works on both W/XP and RH9. (Machine is obviously dual boot) Everything starts, Asterisk is up, sound/audio is great for CD player, Volume controls, Voice recorder, RealPlayer, etc.

Hello! I have Compaq DL360G2 with Broadcom BCM5701 Gigabit Ethernet and FreeBSD 5.1R installed. There are no problems if I use bge as usual network card, but when I try to use 802.1Q vlans, I can't receive (only receive, sending is ok) packets more then 1456 bytes! What is the problem?
