Errors Building 4.8
I have been trying to build the latest 4.8 Stable on a 4.8 Stable system mainly go get the latest fixes, but on "make buildworld" I keep getting the same problem for the past few days. I've even completely removed /usr/src and /usr/obj (ok I backed it up) and re-cvsuped the code and started a-new. I attached the complete "make buildworld" from after that. Anyone have

buildworld of 7-STABLE fails on 6.3 in CDDL code?
Hi, Has anyone seen this before? I'm trying to build 7-STABLE on 6.3. I've removed everything from /usr/obj* but buildworld still fails. Maybe it's got something to do with recent dtrace MFC? -------------------------------------------------------------- >>> stage 1.2: bootstrap tools -------------------------------------------------------------- cd /usr/src;

Problems building 4.8 STABLE
I tried rebuilding yesterday. It failed [I don't recall the output]. I then completely deleted the /usr/src and /usr/obj, and cvsuped again last night [Approx 7PM on 2003-06-23]. I set the machine up with a buildworld and went to bed. This am I looked at the nohup.out file that was generated and it had failed. I took out the NOMAN=false in /etc/make.conf - as it appeared the failure

mkdep vs. makedepend
Where I work, we have an application that has been merrily running away (and being built) on FC1 (yes, you read that right). One of my assignments is to bring this up to CentOS, but on my first effort, I ran into this interesting "feature." The original build process (FC1) uses mkdep to generate the dependency files that are subsequently used by the makes to build the app. mkdep does

9.1-RC1 make buildworld with WITHOUT_LPR NO_LPR not cleaning up properly
/etc/make.conf contains NO_LPR=YES /etc/src.conf contains WITHOUT_LPR=YES make buildworld consistently (9.0 through 9.1-RC1) leaves /usr/share/doc/smm/07.lpd/paper.ascii.gz which is then deleted by make delete-old. This behaviour was not apparent in 8.x. I have systems available to test a fix.
