Hi,
I am running FreeBSD 5.0-RELEASE-p7 and cannot build any Mozilla version from ports.
The build exits for all versions at the same point. A source file called jsdtoa.c.
Thanks..

5.1 for production systems
Some time ago there was an announcement that people should not use 5.0

the consesous on it? Should it be used for critical production systems

KPFA live vorbis stream
I just joined this list, so I'm not sure how many of you are already aware
of this. KPFA is a 59,000 watt free speech community radio station in
Berkeley, California that has been on the air since 1949. They were the
first listener sponsored radio station in North America, paving the way for
many other community stations across the U.S. and around the world. KPFA was
one of first signals to

do darkice and shout play together well
Mixice (www.lns.com/papers/mixice) does. I have it running on
FreeBSD 4.x machines for KKSF, KPFA, KFCF, etc. for a live MP3
stream (icecast 1.x.x). I will have an OGG version of it soon as
we have some demand for better quality streams.

Vorbis granule position
I have a technical question about the vorbis granule position,
but I would like to put the question into context.
When a ogg vorbis stream is ripped using wget, fetch, or
streamripper under Linux or FreeBSD, the resulting file has
problems both with granule position and with a missing EOS. I
think I can figure out how to add an EOS, but is there a way
to determine the granule position in a stream

Dear All,
I would be grateful if you can help me. My problem is the following:
I have a data set like:

2 1 x121 x221
2 2 x122 x222

how to start rsync daemon on fedora
Maybe the daemon is running but I don't think so:

b) sudo /sbin/chkconfig rsync on

Hey, Tim.
His problem was with liveice - which only allows one instance per directory
because it uses named pipes with hard-coded filenames - not with icecast.

synaptics problem
Hi,
I've recently installed FreeBSD 6.3, and I've got a problem with
synaptics.
I've installed it, followed the pkg-message :
hw.psm.synaptics_support=1
It works, dmesg gives :
psm0: <PS/2 Mouse> irq 12 on atkbdc0
psm0: [GIANT-LOCKED]
psm0: model Synaptics Touchpad, device ID 0
moused_enable="NO"
ps shows me that moused doesn't run.

Will 5.4 be an "Extended Life" release?
In the next month or two I've got to upgrade a number of servers that
are currently on an EOL'd version of 4-STABLE. I foresee that I'll
have very limited time to do full OS upgrades on these systems in the
coming several years, so I want to make sure I bring them onto an
extended-life branch.
Right now 4.11 has the furthest projected EOL date (Jan 31 2007), and

Manipulation of data.frame into an array
This is one of those instances where a less superficial knowledge of R's
technical details comes in really handy.
What you need to do is convert the data frame to a single (numeric) vector
for, e.g. a matrix() call. This can be easily done by noting that a data
frame is also a list and using do.call():
## imp is the data frame:
do.call(c,imp)

multiple liveice sources
Hi,
I am trying to stream two different sources with two soundcards using
liveice and icecast, all from single Linux box. Can anyone tell me if this
is possible?
I tried creating two sets in the liveice config file where I specified
different devices. No erros but the latter source was streamed on both
mount points. Running two instances of liveice talking to one instance of
icecast failed.

Manipulation of data.frame into an array
Hello everyone,
Thank you for this. Nonetheless it is not exactly want i need.
I need mydata[[1]] to provide the values for all 3 variables (Y, X1 and X2) of the first imputation only. As it stands it returns the whole database.
Any ideas?
Best,
ioanna
