vnconfig
Hi!
vnconfig(8) sometimes return incorrect exit status,
I've filled a PR http://www.FreeBSD.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=bin/45754
last year but nobody took it.
It's hard to write safe scripts when system utility does not
signal an error with exit status.
Please, look at PR. It contains a patch.

[PATCH libnbd 2/2] generator: Change handling of Flags to be a true optional argument.
In libguestfs generator we have the concept of optargs which is
different from plain arguments. These are mapped to optional
arguments in languages that support them such as Python.
This commit adds a new concept of optargs. At the moment it is simply
limited to handling the optional (in some bindings) flags parameter
which is used to handle the NBD_CMD_FLAG_* flags.
If present, the old Flags

panic: vinvalbuf: flush failed
Hi,
We have a pretty serious problem with our news server crashing
during the expire cronjob. This happened with 4.7-RELEASE, so
we upgraded to 4.8-RELEASE recently, hoping that the problem
might be fixed, but it isn't. The machine is a Compaq DL360-G2.
I've searched the PR database as well as the mailing list
archives for the panic string, but didn't find anything.
What makes the

Good morning everybody,
I get a:
Error: Adding extent to vbd failed: device (vbd (uname file:/xen/slackware-linux-10/linu.img) (dev hda1) (mode w)), error 8
What is "error 8"? Where are those error-codes listed?
My linux.conf:

Bug#658100: xl: hangs in qemu-dm when trying to run PV domU
Package: xen-utils-common
Version: 4.1.2-1
Severity: normal
Hi, I was doing some experiments today with XL TOOLSTACK,
and found few problems when trying to do PV domU boot.
I was trying to run kfreebsd9 or linux-3.2 kernel in qemu using PV i386,
and with simple configuration without any disks, nics or virtual framebuffer,
kernel boots (and then kernel itselfs correctly fails with information

lwd patches for "contour"
I found it useful to have contour be able to do line widths ... hope
that the guts haven't changed an enormous amount in the current
development version ... the patches are relatively trivial, mostly going
by analogy with lty and col (although in my ignorance it took me a while
to figure out what UNPROTECT(2) was and why it should be changed to
UNPROTECT(3) ... hope this is useful.

[libnbd PATCH 2/2] RFC: generator: Handle shared callbacks in Python
[RFC because generated OCaml code needs the same treatment, but I ran
out of time to play with that. At least 'make -C python check' passes,
although coverage is not complete yet, as there is no
python/t/5XX-pread-structured-callback.py...]
[Also RFC because I'm not sure if the use of a record type for
'callback' is the best approach or most idiomatic OCaml - but hey, it

[PATCH libnbd 0/2] generator: Preparatory changes to the generator.
These are some simplifications to the generator. They don't probably
make much sense on their own, but they are preparatory to better
handling of enums, and or'd lists of flags.
Rich.

[PATCH libnbd 1/3] generator: Change Closure so it describes single callbacks.
In preparation for closure lifetimes, split up the Closure so it no
longer describes a list of closures, but a single callback.
This changes the API because functions which take 2 or more closures
now pass a separate user_data for each one.
