portupgrade issue
I am running 4.8-STABLE.
I recently did a cvsup (repeatedly, most recently today). Ever since,
portupgrade dies with the following messages:
zircon# portupgrade -r pkgconfig

convert nil into String (PkgDB::DBError)

Unable to install gtkDevice ...
Hello!
I am trying to install gtkDevice package, but without success. It is
complaining about:
* Installing *source* package 'gtkDevice' ...
checking for gtk-config... no
checking for gtk12-config... no
ERROR: Cannot find gtk-config.
I am using Ubuntu 6.06, and I cannot find that package in the
repositories. Is there a remedy of any kind? What can I do?
Best,
Petar M.

pkg_info and 'make install' failures
Hello,
According to
* ports/54407 Newer bsd.port.mk don't work on FBSD 4.6.2 or prior
* ports/54475 due to changes in bsd.port.mk, ports no longer install on
pre-4.7 releases.
* ports/54561 all ports currently fail on FreeBSD 4.5
it seems quite a few people have problems installing FreeBSD ports,
because port installation has started using pkg_info's -O parameter. I

How to execute StopPlayTones when a SIP phone is answered
I'm trying to find a way to generate an 'internal extensions' tonelist but I can't seem to find anything on how to do this. My idea was to start a Playtones(intercom) tonelist and not indicate ringing to the line (dead air). But then, somehow StopPlayTones needs to be run once the ringing telephone picks up.
This seems like a dirty way to do this. I envision an option to the

"Everyone" group and the "Creator Owner" groups (and maybe more) only
show up with their ICON (i.e. when connected to an NT server the
"Everyone" group would show up with a small world ICON just to the left
of the group name, on the Samba server it shows only the world ICON but
no group name, just blank).

I meant there is no native (Aqua) version of GTK yet (there is
wxWindows and Qt and Tk, so
possibly GTK will follow). The X11 version of RGtk works for me too. I
agree with your
diagnosis of the GUI problem.

[LLVMdev] AutoRegen.sh bug
Hi,
I am just starting a new project. I found that the above script rejects
Autoconf versions later than 2.59, whereas it ought to accept them, imho.
I had to edit the scrip to be able to use it with Autoconf 2.61.
Also, aclocal gave the following warning:
