features of save and save.image (unexpected file sizes)
Hi, Today I came upon unexpected R behaviour. I did some modelling and the result was R object, about 28MB size (nested list, with matrixes as list elements). When I was saving the session with save.image, the resulting .RData file was 300MB. There were no other large objects: >

Outdated "bogon" filtering
Sorry if this is somewhat offtopic, but I''m interested in knowing how many on the list either manage or have dealt with networks in the following address blocks that have been recently assigned by ARIN: 58.0.0.0/24 59.0.0.0/24 69.0.0.0/24 through 72.0.0.0/24 82.0.0.0/24 through 88.0.0.0/24 We have recently changed ISPs and ended up with an address block in the 72.x space, which is

MSFlexGrid control(msflxgrd.ocx) always gives a maybe outdated error
I have a few apps at work that use the msflxgrd.ocx control and have been trying for several years to see if one day it will work with a new release of wine but that day has not yet come. I have finally decided to post to this list about it instead of sitting idle and see if anyone might be able to help find the problem and see how big of a deal it is to fix. I had a developer at work

Gentoo HOWTO is outdated
Hi there! This HOWTO is outdated: http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/GentooEbuilds x11-base/nouveau-drm from the x11 overlay asks for the 3.2 version of kernel, but the latest version is 3.1.5. This advice is also wrong: "These ebuilds do not have any keyword, as it is usual with cvs/svn/git releases. To be able to install them, you have to mark them with ** in package.keywords."

[LLVMdev] Is the online demo using outdated binaries?
No. The demo is using 2.3. I update it personally after every release. Yes, it incorrectly says llvm2cpp, but its really using llc. I'll change this when I update it. The ReleaseNotes in TOT are for 2.4. -Tanya On Oct 17, 2008, at 10:52 PM, Óscar Fuentes wrote: > Throwing this C++ code at the online demo: > > struct S { > double d; > unsigned u; > }; > > S

[LLVMdev] CommandGuide documentation points to outdated pages?
Hello, I noticed something strange in the links from http://llvm.org/docs/CommandGuide/index.html They all point to HTML files in http://llvm.org/cmds/, which were last updated on 11-May-2010. There were many updates to the CommandGuide documents since that time, according to the SVN logs, however. One manifestation of this problem is that a fix made in r147721 (07-Jan-2012) to one of the
