[Bridge] Little problem with 1.x versions (if_indextoname)
Hi,
I have used bridge-utils 0.9.6 so far in a kernel 2.4.26, uClibc and ppc environment.
When I use version 1.0.3 I have the problem that I do not see the brige with the 'brctl show' command if it is not fully set up. It was working with 0.9.6.
I tracked the problem down to an 'incompatibility' in bridge/uClibc/kernel.
0.9.6 uses its own if_indextoname function which uses the

[PATCH] ruby: fix order of CFLAGS
Shuffle the order of the various CFLAGS used when building the Ruby
extension: first the flags from manywarnings (gnulib), then libguestfs
own CFLAGS, and then -DGUESTFS_PRIVATE=1 (so it is not overridden).
This matches also what happens in automake parts, and makes it possible
to override any flags from manywarnings also in the Ruby extension.

[PATCH] replace fchmod()-based heartbeat with raindrops
This means we no longer waste an extra file descriptor per
worker process in the master. Now there''s no need to set a
higher file descriptor limit for systems running >= 1024
workers.
---
I just pushed this out to git://bogomips.org/unicorn.git and it''ll
be in Unicorn 4.x.
The subset of raindrops used by Unicorn should work on all machines

[Bridge] [PATCH] Better test for libsysfs
Hello!
Testing for a library is not sufficient if you also need the headers.
Many distributions install libraries without headers by default. This is
the case for Fedora Core 3 and libsysfs. The library is in sysfsutils,
but the headers are in sysfsutils-devel.
The patch for configure.in tests for both the headers and the library and
makes the configure script print a warning if libsysfs

mysql gem install not happening on Mac OS Leopard - any inputs at all??
Hello all,
Ive got Mac OS X Leopard (10.5.8), ruby 1.8.6 (2009-06-08 patchlevel

with Rails 2.1.0.

usr/local/mysql. I can also see the mysql-5.0.67-osx10.5-x86 folder
in /usr/local .
Im trying to upgrade my Rails apps to 2.3.5 but when i try to

Some fixes for building the Debian package for 1.20.2
I needed to add a few patches to be able to build libguestfs 1.20.2
out of tree. Mostly srcdir/builddir issues -- I think that I had
posted something for building the daemon before.
As mentioned on IRC, I found that compiling (Ruby bindings) caused
config.h file shipped with the Ruby headers to be included rather than
${builddir}/config.h. This can be fixed because the relevant checks

XRC Resources
I currently use DialogBlocks to generate my dialogs for wxWidgets apps I
write in C++. DialogBlocks has the ability to generate XRC resources
which I would like to use with wxRuby, is this possible?
I am very new to Ruby and it looks like a great language and with wxRuby
it looks like a great solution for quick in house applications.
Thanks

ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension (win server 2003/2008 ruby 1.9.1/1.8.7)
I am trying to install mongrel_service gem on Windows (although this
problem seems to hold for any non-compiled gem). I have tried this
with Windows Server 2003 and 2008. Also with Ruby version 1.8.7 and
1.9.1 (Luis Lavena''s one click installer). Both with the same result.
The error message (full text below) mentions that I have to install
development tools first. I have installed MinGW
