Fwd: win32-clipboard and Unicode zero bytes
Hi all,
I''m forwarding this message from Brian Marick. If you
run this test script and then paste the results into a
Unicode aware text editor, you''ll notice that it only
prints one character instead of three.
I tried changing the strlen to _tcslen and strcpy to
_tcscpy, but that didn''t help. I mucked around a bit
with the MultiByteToWideChar function, too, but

[LLD] Incorrect comparision of pointers to function defined in DSO
Yes, I had just reduced it too.
I am pretty sure this was implemented at some point. Taking a look.
Cheers,
Rafael

[LLD] Incorrect comparision of pointers to function defined in DSO
Hi,
It looks like I have found a bug in LLD. Suppose DSO defines a global
variable 'data' and initializes it by the address of function
'set_data' defined in the same DSO. If an executable file (linked by
LLD) gets address of the '&set_data' function and compares it with a
value stored in the 'data' variable it gets different result. If the
executable is linked

win32-clipboard issues and support for additional formats
Hi,
Currently the GetClipboardData() function is declared in windows-pr so that
it returns a pointer. I guess my reasoning was that I was only worried about
dealing with text at the time, so it was the easiest thing to do. But, I''d
like to support more formats beyond text, i.e. images.
However, this can cause a segfault. If you copy a jpeg image to the
clipboard first, for example, and

Problems setting image data
Hi,
I''ve been having some intermittent (but repeatable) problems using
Image#set_data. In some cases, I get just a black image drawn after I''ve set
a (non-black) image. Other times I get a MSVC++ runtime exception. It
happens on the same files at the same time. I''m confident that I''m setting
the correct amount of data for the image size. (Note: Ruby 1.8.2,

The CVS version of win32-clipboard supports the HTML formatted text.

Pure Ruby version of win32-clipboard
Hi all,
In CVS you''ll find a clipboard.rb file. I hadn''t touched it in a while
until recently. However, it doesn''t seem to actually work. Calling
set_data doesn''t fail, but it doesn''t actually seem to set the clipboard
data.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dan

write to clipboard under Linux
Dear all,
I am trying to use the clipboard when writing a table.
Typing:
write.table(object, file="clipboard")
leads to the message:
Fehler in file(file, ifelse(append, "a", "w")) :
'mode' f?r die Zwischenablage muss unter Unix 'r' sein
My interpretation is that I am not allowed to write into the
clipboard from a program called from R. Is there a

Windows programming books?
Hi all,
What do you all use for your Windows programming books? I''ve got Jeffrey
Richter''s "Advanced Windows, 3rd edition", and it''s pretty good, though
a little dated at this point.
Suggestions?
Thanks,

Application Metadata
Hi,
I'm sorry to say that I've found the libFLAC++ interface and
documentation pretty slim and baffling.
What I need to do is add some application-specific metadata to a FLAC
file (i'm using the FLAC++ fileencoder). It is currently just a string
of characters, which doesn't need to be null-terminated.
I've looked through the docs, i've looked through the tests, and

Clipboard under Linux/Unix
Hello,
This may be a trivial question, but I don't find the answer in R online
help. Under Windows, I can copy/paste to the clipboard using
readClipboard()/writeClipboard(), or something like cat(..., file =
"clipboard"). Are there equivalent function for other platforms?

Screen capture, save to file
Is there anything in the utils to capture a screen ( or maybe just a
window) and save to a file.
I have this, but I have no idea where it came from, but it gives a

Some Agent clipboard issues
Howdy,
I've installed wine and Agent under Linux, and frankly, I'm very very
impressed. I'm brand new to the Wine community and I had no idea
that, well, this was possible.
I think I've still got a lot to do to get it to work properly (e.g., I
think I saw something about font conversion.) but there's one thing
that I'm not sure where to begin looking.
I want to copy some

SWIG exceptions
I was trying to fix the problem with wxImage and the char */unsigned
char * thing today and I was going to hand-write the functions to
translate between the two. While doing so I decided I''d clean up the
SWIG error message to make it more clear. Here''s an example
