modssl
I'm having some troubles getting modssl to work with wine. None of my programs that connect to the web via ssl work. I am using Red Hat 9.0, have both the modssl and modssl-devel rpms installed, yet they still don't work. I've tried both installing from source and using the redhat 9 rpms on the winehq.com website, and neither works. Any ideas? Jesse

mod_ssl?
I just noticed that the mod_ssl package was missing on a 5.x machine that I thought was approximately like several other that have it - and don't remember doing anything different. Is there some yum group that would install httpd without including it? -- Les Mikesell lesmikesell at gmail.com

[Fwd: Re: OpenSSH and X.509 Certificate Support]
Hi Roumen, I discovered that the need of appending the .pub part of id_rsa(client key+cert) on the server can be eliminated by adding the Certificate Blob to authorized_keys which could look something like this: x509v3-sign-rsa subject= /C=FR/ST=PARIS/L=DESEl/O=SSL/OU=VLSI/CN=10.244.82.83/emailAddress=client at company.com This is extracted from the client certificate using openssl as

sslcertificates module for debian and darwin
Hey all, i have attached a module which installs SSL-Root-certificates in Debian and Darwin. One thing is left to do for darwin: check whether the certificate is installed already. Until I have figured out how to do this, The test is rather simple. There is a class called dfncertificates defined in this module which gives you a hint how the module is used. Have fun, comments are welcome. udo.

Ajax post to apache2/mod_ssl with client certificates ......
I''m using the text_field_with_auto_complete_helper in one of my forms. It''s the only input in the form (along with submit button). I''m deploying with certain parts of site restricted to use https with client certificates. Basically whats happening is that the autocomplete dropdown is getting populated correctly - i select one and it puts it''s value in the

mod_ssl How To Submission
Hi all, Firstly a big thank you to everyone who has contributed to the Wiki. I've gathered a huge amount from this and the CentOS project in general. I've gone from being a total novice to feeling comfortable with Linux pretty much thanks to the resources available on the CentOS site. So thanks! I recently set up an https site on CentOS 5.2 using a self-signed certificate.

Packages build for Solaris ? As CSW packages ?
Well imitation is the highest form of flattery they say. So I''m surprised to see these packages neatly built to install into /opt/csw correctly and yet they exist somewhere else and have nothing to do with us here at Blastwave. fascinating. I guess we can always send an email to the person doing this and just ask if they want those packages in testing and then into the catalog for

problems with puppetd on some of my solaris machines
I am having troubles with getting puppetd running on some of my Solaris10 update 7 (05/2009) boxes. I use Jumpstart to build my servers, so the installation is repeatable, consistent, and automated, so it is especially confusing that some boxes work, and others don''t. I can ssh into both of these machines, so the host certs should be OK. As part of my installation, I download the
