usbhid-ups causing hang on boot with 2.6.35 - any ideas?
(Arjen - I apologize if you get two copies, I sent the first one to the old de-korte.org address) Arjen, all, I've run into a usbhid-ups problem with nut on Arch Linux with the new 2.6.35 kernels. (latest is 2.6.35.4-1) For some reason when you get to the udev events on boot and it tries to load the usbhid-ups driver, it hangs until the 120 sec timeout occurs and then boot continues but

smbd error: Matchname failed on (machine name)
Listmates, Samba has been trouble free for some time, but I have a very strange error related to one machine on my network that is filling my logs with smb errors. The box in question "ripper" is a normal WinXP box that is dual-boot with SuSE 10.3. The errors are received every 30 minutes or so: Aug 21 17:04:03 archangel smbd[3116]: [2009/08/21 17:04:03, 0]

Upgrade from RC7 to RC10 didn't go too well...
Hi, On the weekend I tried to upgrade from RC7 to RC10. Clearly, I have to change some things before I can do this. What does it take to get to RC10? As is, my mail client got an error trying to list messages in /INBOX (via IMAP) and the mail.err log shows the following messages: Oct 29 10:27:32 siona dovecot: IMAP(archangel): open(/var/mail/archangel/inbox, O_CREAT) failed: Not a

tired of "midget packet received" warnings
Hi, When monitoring an asterisk through its iax2 port I get these warnings at the console: [Nov 6 13:15:15] WARNING[2209]: chan_iax2.c:7000 socket_process: midget packet received (1 of 4 min) This is triggered by the monitoring app sending a POKE to the iax port. The warning appears even without any '-v'. Is there a way to avoid these warnings? Or at least turn them off when at the

Tired of trying to fix this echo problem
Anyone tried the Clipcomm CG-410? I'm tired of beeing unable to get rid correctly of the echo problem. I have 3 TDM04B installed in one server. It was working fine when I had only one card installed in the server but since I installed 2 more then I can't get rid of it what ever I try... So now I'm looking at other solutions. And I saw that Clipcomm makes a router with 4 FXO ports

Tired of dropouts and garbled phone, calls - where to go next?
> In my case, I have good incoming quality and terrible quality going out. > That is, I can hear people perfectly well but they complain that my > voice drops out and is garbled regardless of who places the call. This suggests to me that you may have congestion problems in your "upstream" traffic flow. Setting QoS on the packets may not help, if whatever router you are using

Tired of "filename too long"? Me too...
I assume there's some good reason for the way filenames are faithfully maintained as temp files, but it's a little frustrating when you get "filename too long" messages as a result... with no indication of what file it was it's complaining about. The obvious fix is to simply generate a tmpname and have done with it. Possibly safer, truncate the filename, in case there's

Tired Of Competing With Your Referrals For Referrals ? (PR#3251)
My name is James Hammond. We've worked on previous and current projects. We've been working on a multitude of projects...paying our fees and building our downlines. Have you noticed a big enough return for your efforts? Or, is it more of a scenario where you may see some profit, watch your downline unfold as they realise their downline isn't paying, and then be left paying a fee to

samba 3.3.4-1, lib/util_sock.c:matchname(1749) error??
Listmates, On my Archlinux server with samba 3.3.4-1, I am getting a smbd error that is filling my logs and I'm not sure why. The box 'ripper.3111skyline.com' shown below is a dual boot box and spends most of its life and mom's XP box and masquerades as an openSuSE 10.3 box the rest of the time. There are seven other boxes on this lan with 5 others being dual boot XP/openSuSE

You're probably all tired of people like me...
Alright. Fedora 13. Wine. Steam. kgo. It's not working. Steam 'updates' to its latest release on installation (as it should) but the app quits as soon as it launches. I ran it from the terminal and get the following error dump: Code: [David at localhost Steam]$ wine steam fixme:process:GetLogicalProcessorInformation ((nil),0x32e488): stub

Help with DRY. I feel like im doing more then I have to.
Throughout my Message controller, I do this a lot: @message = Message.find(params[:id],:conditions => ["user_id = ?", @session[''user''].id]) Since you need to authenticate to use this app, is there a way i can tie the Accounts model in with the Message model so I dont have to pass in the user_id everytime? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You

Preserving XP look and feel while on DOMAIN
Greetings guys, I have samba on a domain with the configuration listed above. I've created a Default profile under the netlogon root and chmod'ed it 755. I'm trying to maintain XP's look when you log in because at this point, when I input my username and password and logon to the domain it goes back to the classic win2k skin. Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks
