Wine 1.3( Battle of the Immortals)
I'm pretty new to Wine and Xubuntu, and one of the main reasons I downloaded Wine was to properly run Battle of the Immortals. Im sure it was confirmed playable with Wine but every time i try to open the launcher it patches, and opens pretty normal but the login screen and probably the game also ( never got past the loading screen) suffers from unbearable lag and frame problems. Im pretty sure

Unusable Font after upgrading to wine 1.4 (Ubuntu 12.04)
Hello, today I upgraded my system from Kubuntu 11.04 to 12.04 and installed wine 1.4. Now, most my Windows apps (e.g. the "configure wine" program) have ugly, almost unreadable fonts TTF-Fonts are installed and working properly when explicitly chosen, but all the "standard" fonts (like for menus, window titles and so on) are bold, grainy and not anti aliased. I don't know

one way choppy sound problem !
Hi all, I have my asterisk setup as following: IP 2 x E1 x-lite <-------> Asterisk -------> PSTN When I place a call from x-lite to PSTN, the quality of the sound in the direction x-lite -> PSTN is very bad. That is, the voice of the x-lite user, heard by the PSTN user is choppy and makes communication not very pleasant. The sound is choppy as if bits of data

I'm trying to make use of the llvm compiler libraries, but I can't get them to link to my program correctly. #include <llvm/Constants.h> #include <llvm/DerivedTypes.h> int main(){   llvm::APInt(1,0);   return 0; } I get an error like: undefined reference to `llvm::APInt::initSlowCase(unsigned int, unsigned long long, bool) (this function is called by the inline

[LLVMdev] llvm library linking issues
The output of `llvm-config --cppflags --ldflags --libs core support` and `llvm-config --cppflags --ldflags --libs core` is the same. I've also tried specifying -lLLVMSupport manually. Same result.  --Eugene ----- Original Message -----  Hi Eugene, >I do this, and I've tried a few variations of on it: >clang++ `llvm-config --cppflags --ldflags --libs core` -o clangtest

I have a geffo 4 ti 4200 AGP 4x OpenGL 1.3 hardaware support, GL_ARB_fragment must be an extension of OpenGL 2, also Windows nvidia driver lack of this extension. Recent sound problem
My system is Kubuntu 11.10. With wine 1.3.37 I had no problems. But after the recent upgrades, when I start a wine application, it blocks sound, that is, Linux-based programs have no sound when wine uses audio. I installed wine 1.3.37 again to get rid of the problem but it persists. Does anyone know what is going on? Help greatly appreciated.

If installing an application, I get errors during the process and the installation is aborted. If just running certain executables, the Wine Loader shows up in the task bar but the disappears after a few seconds without the application running. I was able to install Call

wine not recognizing my graphics card
I have several games installed, but only one of them (diablo 2) is working. All of the others give me some error about not being able to find a graphics card that works. All of the games have worked before, under a previous kubuntu release (am currently using 12.04). One of the game tips from winehq (i believe for nwn2) was to go into regedit and change the entries in
