simulating binary random numbers using 'mvtnorm'
Hi R-users,
I just started learning R. I have a project on lot quality assurance sampling (LQAS). In this project I have to develop LQAS plans to make decision on stopping / continuing a programme. The LQAS plans is based on cluster sampling: selection of k clusters (villages) of m children each for a total sample of n. In this connection I would like to estimate the classification errors ( alpha

Ticket/Issue support system
Hi
I am looking for a Open Source RoR-based system for handling support
issues for our customers.
I needs to be simple so that the end user easily can add support issues.
We also need to administer the issues (assign to developer/support
person), schedule, and list issues (tickets).
I have found SimpleTickets, which seems to be a good alternative, but I
would like to know if any one else out

intraclass correlation
Hi,
Can R calculate an intraclass correlation coefficient for clustered data,
when the outcome variable is dichotomous?
By now I calculate it by hand, estimating between- and intracluster variance
by one-way ANOVA - however I don't feel very comfortable about this, since
the distributional assumptions are not really met....
Maybe anyone can help me?
Best regards and many many thanks,

In oVirt 4.x I was able to do it and also to intermix normal vnic and OVN
based vnic.

Legacy database Oracle
I am new to RoR, but totally sold to the concepts, so I have decided to
use RoR to develop a web client to our Oracle-based software that our
customers today use with a Windows client. At first we will develope
simple things like registering to receive email newsletters, and
registering/updating your name, address and telephone etc. Eventually we
hope to do a more full-bodied web-side client.

[LLVMdev] Incorrect Simple pattern matching in lib/CodeGen/IfConversion.cpp
Hello!
The if-converter tries to match 'Simple' patterns looking like this:
// Simple (split, no rejoin):
// EBB
// | \_
// | |
// | TBB---> exit
// |
// FBB
The IfConverter::ValidSimple method (lib/CodeGen/IfConversion.cpp:461)
checks if TBB matches this pattern. It basically does this by simply
checking if AnalyseBranch fails on

Ebb Web Server
Hello Mongrel Users,
I''m writing a web server called Ebb. It''s written in C, makes use of
the Mongrel HTTP parser, and uses libev its event loop. The goal is to
be small, fast, and language independent server that can host web
frameworks. I have written a small Ruby binding which provides a Rack
handler - this will allow Ebb to host Rails, Merb, and other Ruby
frameworks. In the

Having done up to chapter 7 I have had no real problems, except one:

File won't copy to client
This is strange, but I use samba for a software archive at work, and we are having trouble with Office 97. I traced it back to riched20.dll. The file is one the server, but it never copies. I can't even see the file. If i rename it, it shows up.
What is up with that?

[LLVMdev] Is LLVM expressive enough to represent asynchronous exceptions?

Most current LLVM transforms can be easily adapted to operate on an EBB. You mainly need a slightly smarter local instruction iterator. Looking for a sort of tapply() to data frames
Hi,
I read about the by() function, but it does not seem to do the job I
need. Here is the problem:
Say - I have a data frame, with three columns. The first one contains
strings that describe the data points, with repeats (for example, days
of a week). The other two contain numbers. Something like that:
Day val1 val2
Tue 1 2
Tue 2 8
Tue 3 5
Wed 1 2
Wed 1 8
etc.
Now I would
