Hello Openssh group,
I have downloaded the .tar.gz file from openssh site openssh-5.8p2. I need
to build this src into an rpm. I don?t see any makefile utility in the
main directory. Although there are bunch of .c and .h files. And I see
Makefile in other directory, but none seems to build the openssh-5.8p2
target.
Could someone guide me as to how to build it from scratch.

mismatch in openssh latest rpm available at centos
Hello Group,
The latest rpm in openssh is 5.8, however, the corresponding latest rpm
available in centos 5.7 is only
openssh-4.3p2-72.el5_6.3.x86_64.rpm
and
in 6.0 centos is
openssh-5.3p1-20.el6.x86_64.rpm
I have following questions.
1. I want to start from src.rpm and where can I get the src.rpm for
openssh-5.3p1-20.el6.x86_64.rpm.
2. Can I install openssh-5.3p1-20.el6.x86_64.rpm SAFELY

Hello Group,
I downloaded openssh-4.3p2-72.el5_6.3.src.rpm built the rpm and installed
it.
However, sshd daemon does not start when the host comes up.
When I try to start it manually it says

harddisk partition not created right with centos 5.7
Hello Group,
I am building a company application based on Centos 5.7 OS. The
application was working earlier and creating right partitions both for
hardware as well as VM.
But since we introduced Centos 5.7 OS and start building application with
5.7 anaconda the hardware partitions are duplicate of VM partitions
*while creating hardware partition my code looks like.*

Xlib: unexpected async reply (sequence 0x20fb)!
Hi all
I am trying to make wine load SourceSafe. After long f...ing with
truetype fonts and constantly crashing xfs, I moved all my truetype font
paths into XF86Config and now wine does not crash during the calculation
of font metrics. Thanks to FAQs.
Now, on wine startup, after rather long font refresh, I constantly get
Xlib error. See subject.

LANG=en_US, Xlib: connnection errors
This is odd but I'm trying to get the most elementary sides of WINE down. I
have gotten it to attempt to run write.exe out of my windows directory. but
upon doing so it comes up with the LANG errors which I don't think is
catastrophic. (I might be wrong) and then it comes up with these errors:

C7, mdadm issues
I've no idea what happened, but the box I was working on last week has a
*second* bad drive. Actually, I'm starting to wonder about that
particulare hot-swap bay.
Anyway, mdadm --detail shows /dev/sdb1 remove. I've added /dev/sdi1... but
see both /dev/sdh1 and /dev/sdi1 as spare, and have yet to find a reliable
way to make either one active.
Actually, I would have expected the linux

reading only some columns from a table
Dear R users,
Sometimes it is needed to read only some columns from a table, in particulare for high frequency data. How it is possible to read just some certain columns using read.table ( ). The reason could be keeping space in R and in particular accelerating in reading data when the number of rows are huge and some of them are not needed.
Thank you very much,
Amir

Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display ":1".
I get the message below whenever I run virt-manager via a vnc session.
Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display ":1".
This error disappears when I take off "-extension RANDR" from the
vncserver configuration. Taking this off makes the VNC session too
big for my monitor.
help.

Want to _prevent_ upgrade to centos 5.2
Hi,
With the release of 5.2 "yum update" seems to be upgrading our
computers from CentOS 5.1 to CentOS 5.2. I note from release notes for
5.2 that you are only supposed to get 5.2 if you type in "yum upgrade".
On two seperate machines entering "yum update" has resulted in yum
geting repo information for packages with versions that only exist in
the base

Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Hello,
I''m doing my first steps with Xen and have my first domU up now
(Debian/sid under Debian/sid).
The main problem I had, was to bring up the graphical desktop of the
guest with vnc4server. The solution was simple - but not easy to find
for me - so let me share it:
Whenever I tried to login on xdm or gdm via xvnc4viewer coming from
dom0, I found errors in .xsession-errors of
