Win7 vs. Win10 GPO Editing
Hi, I have a problem with GPO editing. I have some GPO first created with RSAT and GPO editor on Win 7 x64. I have modified recently this object with RSAT and GPO editor on Win 10 x64 . If I try to edit the GPO back to Win7 I got the following error (in french): La ressource ? $(string.SiteDiscoveryEnableWMI) ? r?f?renc?e dans l?attribut displayName est introuvable. Fichier

roaming profile does not work for "Domain Admins"
I am facing an issue which I cannot explain myself. The roaming profiles don't work for users that are members of the group "Domain Admins". The [profiles] share on the member server was configured exactly as explained on the wiki for roaming profiles. It works like a charm for all domain users, *BUT*: if a user is member of the group "Domain Admins" it *doesn't* :-(

RFC: "REQUIRES: no*" considered harmful
Dear test fans, Recently a couple of cases came to light, where a test had the line REQUIRES: nowindows with the obvious expectation that it would be disabled, but only for the Windows platform. Sadly, this is not true; the "no" prefix means nothing to Lit. I've already fixed one test, within Lit's own test suite, and I've done a bunch of grepping to see what else is

Current Infighting
Most often, I sit here and read the posts because I don't feel I'm qualified yet to be of help to anyone posting in this mailing list. I chose CentOS for my work file server because I had always used RedHat and Fedora and felt comfortable with it. I feel blessed to be part of this community and would be sadly disappointed if it were to self destruct. I appreciate the developers

Windows 7 problems
Hi, I have upgraded to Samba 3.5.6 for Windows 7 Pro compatibility. I am in a test phase to evaluate the behavior of Windows 7 in a Samba PDC environment. I have one Samba server as a PDC with tdbsam backend (no LDAP at all), and I applied the reg and patch as described in the wiki. I have a couple of questions related to Windows 7 : - opening a domain session on the Win7 client takes a

Nightly tarballs, would you use them?
Greetings, During the past week, there have been some requests for nightly tarballs to help making testing new Asterisk code easier. There was some debate as to whether they would be useful. The reason that they may not be useful is because you can get equivalent access to new code just by accessing the subversion repository directly. However, for one reason or another, some people would

count number of stop words in R
Defining data as you mentioned in your respond causes the following error: Error in UseMethod("tm_map", x) : no applicable method for 'tm_map' applied to an object of class "character" I can solve this error by using Corpus(VectorSource(my string)) and the using your command but I cannot see the number of stop words in my string! centos 4.8 dvd on virtualbox x86_64
I just installed VirtualBox latest version on a new Win7 Pro x86_64 desktop, and tried to create a 64bit CentOS 4.8 install for doing some procedural testing... all install attempts hung at the samme place, shortly after grub, it hangs at... Dquot-cache hash table entries: 512 (order 0, 4096 bytes) sadly, I didn't capture the rest of the console output prior to that. 32bit 4.8 boots

FW: This newbie gives up for now - sadly (2)
This newbie has been trying out Asterisk. It has been both a) surprisingly painful and b) impressive in terms of helpful support from other users. Having got two phones to communicate and then got voicemail MWI going (neither painlessly) I decided the next step was to implement call transfer as per nearly all commercial PBX systems i.e. hold call consult another extension either exit and let

AreskiCC - DOES IT REALLY WORK??????
Hi all, I am quite disappointed at the application AreskiCC. I have installed everything following the instructions but the thing doesn't want to work. First of all, when I start the index.php page, any name/password logs in. After the login it takes me to a page with a single option "LOGOUT" We are monitoring the database and it seems like the application doesn't

Samba + LDAP: Issue adding machine.
Greetings. I've run into a trouble when trying to add a new Win7 machine on a domain. The domain is controlled by a server running Samba + LDAP (samba compiled with ldap support), on a Debian 5 OS at the local network. I've added the machine name to the LDAP three through phpldapadmin using the option "Samba3 Machine" on the related submenu and via terminal on samba. Then I

recommended procedure for mandatory roaming profiles for win7 with samba 3
Hello, I have a PDC and a File (member) server for homes and profiles (Samba 3.4.17). For XP clients I have mandatory profiles with all user shell folders redirected to their respective home share. Now I'm adding win 7 clients to the mix and I want the same thing. It's (almost) working but I think my procedure is a bit dirty (i.e. I use "windows enabler" to build my ntuser.man

[LLVMdev] OT: new here, dynamic/runtime compilation (in general)
well, sadly, I am not sure how people are on this list... in any case, LLVM is an interesting project, and may well continue being interesting. but, in my case, I have done my own compilation framework... ok, I didn't really hear about the really interesting bits of LLVM until after I had (more or less) wrote mine... ok, my point is to maybe to have something interesting to talk about, not

New-user support package - suggestions?
Dear Community, This is largely a repost with some new information. I'm interested in developing a package that could ease the command-line learning curve for new users. It would provide more detailed syntax checking and commentary as feedback. It would try to anticipate common new-user errors, and provide feedback to help correct them. As a trivial example, instead of >

Storing RTP in Ogg
Hello learned ogg folks, and welcome to 2007. Sadly I am back at work already, and I'd like to seek your advice. We need to store raw RTP packets on disk as they are received from the network. There will be multiple streams of media--at least one audio and one video--that all need to go in the same file. We have decided to use ogg because it is the simplest container format that meets our
