Setup multiple bridges for use with KVM
Running CentOS 5.4 x64. Have successfully bridged eth2 with br2 by following the instructions here: http://wiki.libvirt.org/page/Networking (under the RHEL section) Have been running several KVM VMs successfully via this bridge. I am now trying to bridge additional interfaces by using the same routine. Each bridge is named to correspond with the ethX device its bridged with. Example of

Recover software raid 10 on CentOS 6.3
The setup is 4 1TB drives running RAID10. I was using the Gnome Disk Utility to verify the integrity of the array (which is a 500MB mirrored md0 and the rest a R10 md1). I believe one of the drives is bad but prior to the system going offline it showed that 2 drives were detached from the array but healthy. A reboot results in a panic complaining that not enough mirrors are available. Is there a

Winbind not looking in correct Win2k3 SBS User container
Hi, We've recently upgraded a network from Win2k to 2k3 SBS. We were using samba with security = domain (which I believe stopped working - I was on vacation at the time the upgrade was done) and are now using security = ads. We're using samba-3.0.23b-0.1.35 on SuSE Enterprise Linux Server 9 SP3 x86_64 The samba machine has been sucessfully joined to the domain with: kinit

Samba (old) and shared printers on MS Win 2003 SBS
This might be a rube question; if so I apologize in advance. Someone asked me to help and I don't have much info, but I have a limited window and have to be forearmed with as much information as possible before I set foot in the door. The guy that asked for help runs a Red Hat 6.2 box with the version of Samba that came with RH 6.2. I asked him what version of Samba it was. He

Windows 2008 SBS suddenly disappearing on Xen 4.0.0
Hi all, when running Windows 2008 SBS on Xen 4.0.0, it disappears after some time (longest time I had it running was 20 minutes). In /var/log/xen/qemu-dm-win1.log I find: xc_map_foreign_batch: mmap failed: Cannot allocate memory xc_map_foreign_bulk error 12 Anyone any idea how to troubleshoot this? The Hypervisor has 16 GB of RAM, currently 2 GB are allocated to Dom0. This specific DomU has 8

I''m trying to install SBS 2008 (essentially Windows Server 2008 x64) in an HVM domain. The install starts OK, but when I get to the disk part of the installation it doesn''t detect the disk I have configured. What is the trick for getting the installer to recognise my disk? winbind and SBS 2003
Hi, I want vpn clients which have a valid x509 Cert and a valid user account in the M$ domain can access to the LAN. The M$ DC is an SBS2003 Server in mixed mode. I don't want to manage two user db's. I want the vpn server to ask the domain controller for a valid user account. So I've installed the nessecary stuff on the vpn server. The interresting things here are: samba/winbind

Samba 4 migration from dead SBS 2003
Hello, I have successfully joined a SBS 2003 (SRVACMPDC01) domain with two additional Samba 4 DCs (SAMBA4PDC and SAMBA4DEDI, currently both 4.0.4-GIT-9899851). Everything worked fine: DNS / AD replication etc. The windows server was still responsible for DNS / DHCP / all FSMO roles. Now the original SBS 2003 crashed and refuses to start again (long story). In order to get a temporary workaround

Problems removing a SBS 2008 server from a Samba AD DC.
Hi, I have a samba 4.7.9 DC that I am trying to remove a windows SBS dc from. In doing this I have run across several problems. For whatever reason when I try to dcpromo the windows DC it fails because it says it cannot contact the samba4 DC. I have checked replication as per https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Verifying_the_Directory_Replication_Statuses All of the tests pass. Since we are going

From: "Bryan J. Smith <b.j.smith at ieee.org>" > You are indeed correct (I must have been looking at the RHEL3 dir**) First off, that's now 2 strikes for me. Small ones considering the context well outside of the points, but still it hurts my credibility. This is one of the things I hate about meta-discussions, at least how I approach them. Sometimes I just need to learn

[LLVMdev] Phabricator sending empty state change emails for Audit
Hi Manuel, It's been brought to my attention that my usage of the Phabricator Audit tool to track which commits have been reviewed is causing a large number of (almost) empty emails to be sent to the commit authors and anyone else added to the audit as a reviewer. Presumably there are some state change emails that we haven't blocked yet (e.g. the 'Accept commit' and 'Resign
