CentOS 7, NetworkMangler, and ipv6
We've started having a problem with a CentOS 7 server. It looses its IPv6 address, if I understand this issue correctly. We can get in, if we do ssh -4, though. In the logs, I'm seeing this about twice an hour: <warn> (pid 98466) unhandled DHCP event for interface ens3f0 Now, in googling, I get very few hits putting quotes around "unhanded dhcp exception" - in fact, the

[PATCH] appliance: Remove /etc/dhcp/dhclient-enter-hooks.d/resolved.
Workaround for Ubuntu which uses this script to try to start a systemd service. That won't work because systemd is not used inside the appliance. seeing which IP is your DHCP server
If I am on a CentOS box (or any other nix box, I guess), what is the easiest way to easily see the dhcp server? (Like in MS Windows, one can run "ipconfig /all" and see which IP is the DHCP server)

ipconfig:About the length of 'options' field of DHCP packet
Hi, I had the problem that 'ipconfig' as DHCP client in Debian-squeeze could not get DHCP Offer reply from the built-in DHCP server of the cheap route that I have. The name of the router is 'MegaBitGear TE4571E' which I got at contract of ADSL Internet access service in 2009. The router is not too old and can reply to other DHCP clients like ISC-dhclient, WindowsXP and Vista.

Re: [PATCH] appliance: Remove /etc/dhcp/dhclient-enter-hooks.d/resolved.
I had tried this approach, to add /etc/dhcp/dhclient-enter-hooks.d/resolved to excludefiles, however it didn't work. As far as I know, this hook is included in the base image and according to [1], the current implementation does not apply excludefiles to the base image. command for dhcp client
Is there a command that says DONT use the ifcfg-eth0 setting(s) that basically have a static address and start the network in DHCP. I dont want to disturb the static settings in ifcfg-eth0 or re-enter them once my DHCP setting is done... I just want to temporarily run with DHCP (I'm on different network than the static setup). Yes I can copy files and then recopy files and all that - but

Set hostname via DHCP ?
Hi. I just setup one of my machines as a DHCP server. I'd like it to handle the hostnames of clients. Don't know if this is an orthodox thing to do (feel free to add your comments :oD). Here's the server's relevant lines of dhcpd.conf: --8<------- ... # Envoyer les noms d'h?tes aux clients use-host-decl-names on; # Adresses statiques host babasse { hardware ethernet

PXE boot says server address is 0.0.0.0
Hello, I have set up 2 PXE servers, on Linux Debian Sarge and Etch, on which I use syslinux + ISC dhcp3 + tftp-hpa for booting. The older one, on Sarge, has been working fine for more than a year, great :-) The new one, on Etch, with the exact same config files, does not : the DHCP part seems to work, but at the end pxelinux seems to lose the server's IP address; this what I see on the

DHCP Attribute for TFTP server for Aastra 480i?
I have this Aastra 480i phone, and you can set the TFTP server IP address manually in the phone, but there should be a way to have it find the TFTP server information via DHCP. Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, what is the attribute I have to set on my DHCP server? Thanks! __ Dana Olson Disclaimer: The information transmitted in this message is intended only for the person or
