SV: handling spam from gmail.
I know it is not dovecot who should fix this. But anyone using dovecot is using an MTA, and receiving spam ;) I know how to look at email headers. Spf and dkim is not solving anything here. -----Original Message----- From: Sebastian Nielsen [mailto:sebastian at sebbe.eu] Sent: donderdag 11 juni 2020 10:23 To: Marc Roos; 'dovecot'; 'users' Subject: SV: handling spam from

spam control
Gents, I have added the following to /etc/mail/sendmail.mc and rebuilt it trying to control spam. I still get about 25 spam messages a day. Is there something else that can help control spam? called a spammer today
thought you would find this interesting... I get a LOT of political spam on one of my mails due to hosting a political site once. I have been slowly blacklisting the bulk companies and 'the net' of private people pushing political spam. There is one guy who has been sending me stuff for years and I just have it go to the junk folder and deleted..forgot about it. New server, new

question on sending mail with 5.2
I made a little file with a From:, To: and body. I execute the command cat file.txt | sendmail -t -O MinQueueAge=1m thinking that the message would try every minute to send instead of the default 30m. (if the initial attempt failed of course). This doesnt seem to have any effect? In the event I have an important email and I want it try perhaps every minute (1minute) to send the email how do I

Spammer radhi
This happened two or three weeks ago and it's happening again. Spammers are using Nabble to attack R-Help. The psts are signed radhi and the posts' titles are taken from previous posts and therefore seem authentic but all messages end with "click here". I suggest you don't. And don't rply to this "radhi" And again on a weekend. Rui Barradas

Logwatch / spamassassin
Hi all, Well it took a while for me to figure it out, but apparently my logwatch no longer can be mailed locally on my computer as I believe spamassassin is eating it. I can send it out to an email address outside my server though. So spamassassin is only checking incoming I guess. My question is....how do I...or should I.... Make all local mail go straight to the boxes and skip spamasassin

Is Enum safe from spammers?
Just been contacted by a UK Enum registrar looking for ITSPs to become resellers of their Enum registration systems ... Is anyone using Enum? Does anyone (other than cynical old me) think that Enum is a spammers best friend? Has anyone received a spam VoIP call yet? (ie. one placed directly over the Internet aimed at a SIP URI to a PBX which allows anonymous incoming calls?) I can see that
