Thoughts: chaindev -> altchain
Hi I was thniking about that chaindev branch I see slowly rotting in my git - and I was wondering: would it be acceptable to change it from "replace existing chain.c32" to "provide alternative altchain.c32" ? The rationale for such request: - chaindev resides in its own directory under com32, so there're no conflicts possible - the dependency on disklib is trivial

Chain module - chaindev branch
git://git.hasevolq.net/syslinux.git Split and expanded version of chain module is on the chaindev branch. The module is fully documented in doc/chain.txt I wasn't sure if to make one giant commit, or kept all the history as I was going - so I chose the latter. Tag 'chaindev-review' marks the commit. New feats since my last mail include options: mbrchs, hideall, bss, bs, warn (see

Merge LUA branch of Marcel Ritter
Since Syslinux 4.01-pre2, lua is the master branch. This lua.c32 moudule doesn't support much. help
High all, In WinXP, I have created file "image.iso" using mkisofs, but unable to postprocess with the "isohybrid". I worked as follows: cd F:\syslinux-4.05\utils F:\syslinux-4.05\utils> isohybrid F:\image.iso and received >'isohybrid' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. What next? Thanks in advance.

chain module updates
This is a set of few chain post-merge patches - mostly revolving around simple adjustments, though a few are somewhat larger and/or introducing new features (nothing particularly complex though). Fetch details at the bottom. I didn't spam the list with mass of mostly banal patches, though of course I can send them any moment if necessary. Summary of a few more important ones: -

Usage output of Syslinux installers is not consequent
Why doesn't the Windows Syslinux installer show: --offset and --directory too (I know it is not supported)? Because the Linux versions show the Windows/dos specific commands: --mbr --active and --force I didn't check the DOS version. If all options will be displayed unconditionally for all installers, it might be a good idea to add: --offset -t Offset of the file system on the

Chainloading DRMK
DRMK (Dell Real Mode Kernel), now used in their DOS-based diagnostic images (probably about 2-4 years), has a rather unusual entry into the IO file (DELLBIO.BIN; similar to IO.SYS and IBMBIO.COM). After fumbling around with it over the last few days, I _think_ I've figured out the quirks of this entry point (and successfully tweaked chain.c32 to do such). dl Usual; drive number bp 0 cs
